One more habit to try, I read my Bible first thing before I start the day. Or a devotional. Sit and thank Jesus for saving me. Quiet time . I started at the beginning of the Bible when I started to know God. Bless you and your family Renee.
I’m 52 also and I’m scheduled for my hysterectomy next week. I’m so nervous. I look forward to your videos because seeing how well you’re doing calms my nerves. Thank you for sharing your hysterectomy journey. It has helped me. ❤
I know its scary....but you will be ok. Just know that it takes time and the first few weeks could be painful. I'm glad my videos are helpful 💗 Sending positive vibes and good thoughts your way.
Renee, it's soooo good to see our "happy lady" enjoy Life and Health again! God is so good! He heard and answered my prayers for you both. He WILL answer the rest that I pray for you and your family too. I fully trust Him. Please give Mom hugs from us!
You've got the greatest tips!! I'm retired now and am so enjoying it. I get to actually sit and read and listen to music. Like you, I get up early in the morning, sit on my couch with the dogs and cats surrounding me and cuddling with me, it's the best thing in the world. My walks are so much more leisurely, not always hurrying to "get it in". I have time to bake! I love being retired.
Oh yes...the quiet "me time" really helps me the most. My household is full of noise all day long and I am the first to get up. Just sitting in the quiet (me and my dog) sipping on my coffee or tea and praying about the day really helps calm me. And just being outside...oh Renée you hit the nail on the head. All throughout my life I would take little or long walks through nature. My birth home was next to a meadow and woods and the simple act of strolling through those areas breathing in the scents and listening to the birds always quiets me and allows me to ground myself. My mom had several huge iris beds (8' x 25-30') and in the spring and early summer I would walk the iris beds and smell all the different colored flowers. Such a sweet, fond memory. My head is always whirling with thoughts and I really need the non-man-made sounds to ease that noise. Nature sounds do the trick every time!
One thing that has helped me feel better is getting my sleep. Once I started menopause, my sleep cycle went crazy! I could not sleep! I take magnesium now and it has helped me so much!
❤ love this … happy to hear you have been released to start back to your normal activities.. I have about three weeks left in my hysterectomy recovery . I’m slowly increasing my steps daily to get to my 10k min .
Well said,,, I have been fasting everyday for just under 2 years,,,the benefits are amazing,,,I swim as my exercise routine,,,in combination with monitoring nutrition ,,,,we will be the beneficiary of the lifestyle,,,,well done
I’m 2 weeks post op from a full hysterectomy and have been walking since day of surgery. I walk about half a mile each day. And it helps a great deal mentally and physically so I couldn’t agree with you more!!!❤
Oh wow! That's fantastic! I didn't start walking till week 6....I mean, really walking. I doodled around the house after my hysterectomy but I just didn't have the get go to walk a long distance.
I used my treadmill this morn…15 minutes! Cleaning out the garage & reorganizing! Preparing for new paint & shelves…👏🏻 I will be breathing fresh air( garage door will be opened) Enjoyed your commentary & seeing you happy! Cheers & smiles! 👋😁🇺🇸
i just started following you a few weeks back, im very active and we eat healthy in our family and i must say, this video is really great! I love how youre reaching out to all your followers and just showing everyone how to go about doing it ...its commendable! I live where its cold and we have a fairly long winter..( central oregon) but imust say...i go out and walk every day, snow, hail, wind, and 0 degree temps because ...you just feel amazing and invigorated and healhty and you get air and motion and head clearing..etc. and might i add you can see the difference in you since you began your fasting journey! Keep up these great videos, you rock!
Walking is great exercise & it's basically free. It is a good idea to invest in a great pair of walking shoes. Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 I do the same things that you do. I don't have a walking counter...& I don't think that I want one. I feel great every day. Self-care... I'm totally into it. I'm 61, & turning 62 in November. I feel more like I'm in my late 40's. There are certainly great advantages to taking care of ourselves as we age. 👍😊👏 I love your videos Renee. Keep on, keeping on.
I just had a hysterectomy a few weeks ago. Due to uterine cancer. Were you really tired ? Just wondering how everyone else feels a few weeks afterwards. Thank you so much for your awesome videos. I love them all. I think I’ve seen every one of them 😀❤️
Renee, sitting on the couch with my coffee every morning is also what I've been doing for over my 50 years of working. At one point I was a single mom and that time alone on the couch is what I used to pump myself up and tell myself I got this. I am now 70 and just retired last November but I still get up at 5:00 a.m. to sit on the couch, drink my coffee and reflect. It's the best time of my day!
I love all the tips and can relate to having a cup of coffee, quiet, dark and looking out my big windows before the day begins ❤ I’m so glad I found your channel
YES. THE FASTING. ONCE YOU ARE IN 60s. you have to make the fasting hours longer . but easy to do. and it feels great. Im 70. 60s and 70 are way diff then in 50s. but . the fasting is great and works. and is yes def a good health boost.
That is why meditation is so important for me .. I love the ones you can find on Insight Timer.. so many different ones... you're doing awesome Renee...
Glad to see you shine again, I know recovering from surgery takes a while but you look great! You should take a course on becoming a "wellness coach" I think you would be great at it! Thank you for your videos, I love to watch you and your family.
Such a great video . Today is one of the days I actually make myself leave the house and go to my best friends mental health is one of my biggest issues and leaving the house causes great anxiety.I so enjoy watching your videos Renee I never miss them..
Thanks so much Glesnie!!! Wishing you a wonderful and stress-free outing to see your friend. Today....I'm stuck in my house because it's pouring cats and dogs outside! Rain, thunder, lightening all day. I'm home in my pajamas doing RUclips stuff and house cleaning 😊
What a wonderful and motivating video!!! One of my favs over the years. Looks like I need to do shuffle some priorities ❤ thank you Renee!! So happy to see you feeling good!!!
I agree Renee! This video made me so happy lol your camera is fabulous! So clear I felt like I could smell the air and the grass! Those baby birds inside the wreath omg how beautiful!! Being in nature is pure mental medicine in my opinion! Have a beautiful day!! 🌸💐🌼
That momma bird builds a nest in my wreath every spring...and it's sooo cute to see her babies. But earlier this week they flew away!! My door is covered in bird 💩 but I'll get it cleaned up and hang a new wreath 😊
Love the intermittent fasting. It is the first eating modification I have ever tried that did not leave me hungry and not able to continue. After I get through recovery from my second knee surgery the walking is top on my list
Your springtime walk looks so nice compared to what I had this morning. I live in WY and it was 25 degrees this morning with wind gusts up to 40 mph. I walked my dog, buy boy, was I freezing!!😨
Hi Renee! I agree on all your tips! I need to start exercising, get more fresh air, etc etc. I have good intentions but it's a little hard cuz I tend to pick up extra shifts at my hospital (just worked 7 of 8 days). I definitely need to take me time & start taking those steps towards a healthier self. The intermittent fasting sounds like another good idea. Thanks for video!👍😘
Thanks Renee for sharing your healthy habits! I need to incorporate more of these each and everyday! I’m trying to get more steps in each day and I already drink lots of water. Oh I also do stretches morning and night! Take care it’s so good to see you feeling your best!❤
Glad to hear you are cleared to return to all your activities. Thanks to you introducing the 16:8 Intermittent Fasting program, I have lost 18lbs and feel wonderful. Appreciate all the great tips you share. It’s like hanging out with a good friend!❤️
I’m only 3 minutes into the video but I love that step counter! I ordered it months ago when you talked about it in an earlier video - just used your link and discount code (thank you!) to buy another! Love all your videos and think you are so inspiring. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t say how much I enjoy Randy also!! Now… back to watching the rest of this video!! ❤️

All great tips! Living in Arizona my outside walking will be coming to an end soon, and it will be indoor walking only. But, I will still get outside to swim daily, which is one of my favorite things to do. It’s so refreshing and I always feel better afterwards. I took advantage of the 20% off and ordered the step counter, I think I will enjoy using it because it looks so simple to use. I’ve had others, but they always add so many features that it just becomes over-complicated and I don’t end up using them in the long run. Thank you for another nice video!
Gosh, I know.....some step counters are just too complicated! All I want to do it press start and go out on my walk. Nothing more! And that's exactly what the 3DFitBud does....and it's sooo great!

Thank you Renee for the Information on the health and wellness tips! I bought 2 simple step counters one for ME and my mom for Mother’s Day! I am so excited that you have recovered so well 😊. I Don’t miss a video. Thank you for sharing! Love your family!
great advice, Renee! I am good at all these suggestions except stretching - I will try to remember to add that to my to do lists! I walk my little old dog 3 times a day and also walk to and from work, so, I ordered the step counter, it will be fun to see how many steps I get in each day! I honestly have no idea how many steps I wrack up each day! thanks for sharing these helpful hints to keep heart, mind, soul and body fit!
I'm in awe of your early morning couch cuppa! I would be found by my family at 10am snoring with coffee down my front if my butt touched a couch at 5.30am .... so for me it's a crossword puzzle in the evening 😂
I love that! I wish I had a park near me...but I just walk around my neighborhood. Sometimes Randy and I will take the dogs to the closest park and walk the trails. We all really enjoy that. Have a great day!!
Hey Renee! I have followed you since you started. I was so looking forward to the opening of you pool :) Did you make one video? I love watching the pool and I crave one to have in my backyard. LOL I also wanted to see you plant your flowers and to see if I can get them here in Oregon. I love the fitbud as well! Thank you for all you share! Fun !!
I just ordered my step counter. I have been wanting one so thank you for telling us about it. I am going to try your stretches also. Have a great day, even though here in Paducah it is not the best day for an outside walk!!

👣I hv been walking 4a year n four months straight, missing but a few days. I'm loving the sound of chirping birds🕊️ 🐦, running 🐿️n 🐿️🐿️. Some of he flowers🌺🌹🌷came up since mid February, crazy! I don't count steps but 🚶4about two miles in the sub division. I have gotten to know a Siamese🐈Pip, who comes to greet me just about every morning.🌞 He' likes to rub his body against my legs as he encircles then sprawls on the ground for a belly rub. The stretching exercises you do seem simple enough n will incorporate. I get my alone time before anyone gets up so I enjoy my cup of Joe with half n half, sugar 🆓 syrup n cinnamon. 😋 I can testify to feeling Much Better. It is good to feel alive again...I'm grateful to God!
I wear BROOKS brand tennis shoes....always! They are great for support and have a wide-ish base on them. Zappos.com has the best and biggest selection of BROOKS.

Hi Renee. I ordered the step counter the first time you showed us. It is as simple as you say. I try to step more each day. Love your videos! 👍♥️🙂

Definitely going to get one after my vacation. Can't wait to try the airplane foot rest you suggested awhile back.
You look great. So happy you're recovery is over! Yay!
Have a great day,
Isabel and Diego 🐈⬛
I have one tip on the footrest....since your space on a plane is very limited....make adjustments to the straps on the footrest before you get on the flight. Then once you get seated and have it over the tray table, any adjustments would be minor. I made this mistake on our first flight and just took it out of the package....and it took me a bit to adjust everything so it was good for my feet. It's just easier to do when not cramped up on the plane. Otherwise....it's great! It really took the stress and pressure off of my legs. Have a great vacation!
I just started intermittent fasting with the app you suggested and I am feeling great! Thank you❤️
That's great!!!! After about 3 weeks, you'll REALLY start to feel the difference.

Greetings Renee! I love my 3d active fitness tracker, which I bought last year when you were talking about it. It's so uncomplicated! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
As always, TOTALLY on-point Ms. R. Thank you Renee for sharing this simple, yet so important information. Hugs to the fur lads.
Just bought my 3D thanks for the code, can't wait to get it :) Getting ready to start walking more so this is right on time! Ohh while I am typing away your video with what you eat and how you maintain reallly helped me I have implemented several of your tips!! YOU Rock SIS

I never walk without my smart phone on which I have a free app that counts my steps and more! So happy to see back at it!
I'm the exact opposite. I never walk with my phone 🙂
Great motavation video ❤
Bonjour je découvre votre chaîne et j’aime beaucoup merci 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
😃 Ordered a yellow step counter, can't wait to use it. Thanks for another informative video
Fun!!! Yellow for sunshine ☀️
Yellow, also to find it if it is misplaced 😉 @@WelcomeToMyCurls
Great vlog!!! Very inspiring! Finished workout, I do need to stretch more later. Enjoy the rest of your day🤩💜
Honestly, I would rather stretch than work out. Stretching just makes me feel good and tall and healthy.
Thanks
Hi Gal, what kind of tennis shoes do you have on for walking? They look great I need a lot of support. Thanks for sharing. God bless!
I wear BROOKS brand tennis shoes....always! They are great for support and have a wide-ish base on them. Zappos.com has the best and biggest selection of BROOKS.
Thank you for your tips. By the way what is the brand of your running shoes? I love them. Your joyful nature is so refreshing. I am so glad you're recovering nicely. Best wishes.
Hi Ana! I wear BROOKS tennis shoes. They have great support and make me feel sturdy. I think zappos.com has the best selection of styles and colors :)

It’s hard to walk in Phoenix when it’s 115 degrees out.
Oh gosh that's HOT 🥵
The step counter will work even in your purse? I always use a crossbody, so that would be awesome!
Hi! It sure will!! It works in your pocket, purse, backpack…it’s great!
@@WelcomeToMyCurls I bought it and I LOVE it!
Great video - thanks! Why do you say you are retired? Do you not have the ice cream store anymore?

how did you go in and out and not scare off mama from her eggs
Good for you Renee 😊. I’m so happy you’re feeling better. I’m definitely getting the insulated tumblers. I drink a lot of water and it has to be cold 🥶. BTW, I got the lululemon bag you recommended and I love it 😍.
The RTIC tumblers are the best honestly, and my ice stays ice all day long! And Ooooo I love my crossbody bag. I wear it every day :)
