If the reborn baby brings joy to a person I say more power to them! Not everyone is in a situation where they could adopt or foster a real human child. This woman isn’t hurting anyone and I’m glad she found something that brings her happiness.
Honestly, is it genuine happiness? Merely going through the motions at a tremendous level of makebelieve while knowing in the back of your mind it’s not real? I can’t imagine it is a positive. The story of self-deception an adult must engage in is mind-boggling and unquestioningly unhealthy. There are plenty of people who can’t afford childcare. If you have extra time, why not volunteer to help somebody in need by caring for their child, living a breathing human being, and receiving genuine affection and gratitude the in return?
I lost my baby in my 9th month of pregnancy and it was one of THE MOST PAINFUL loneliest saddest time in my life...I came home without my baby was way more than I could handle...My Heart Mind Body and Soul was EMPTY and I cried EVERY day for my baby. I also BEGGED and PLEADED to God EVERY SINGLE day to bless me with another little girl...9 months later I got pregnant AGAIN with ANOTHER little girl and now my baby girl is 21 years old! Beautiful Smart Intelligent Caring Kind Precious & Amazing! Just like her brother❤❤

She can put the doll away anytime, not so much a real child, that has to be raised and cared for even after adulthood sometimes. Not a fair comparison, it's like a small child having a stuffed dog and asking for a real one, not knowing the commitment they'll have to have.
Nothing in my life brought me greater joy than when my children were babies. I asked my daughters to get me one of these if I have dementia. They are very soothing and summon deep memories that they person isnt even aware of aren't. I've seen people with stuffed animals and dolls that are very loving with them in nursing homes. 💖
I don’t understand the hate…reborns are great at providing comfort for many different reasons! Some of which are people who’ve lost children or simply cannot have any,another is anxiety or dementia patients…I am 18 years old and have severe social anxiety so when I go in public,I bring my reborn baby Ethan and pretend he is real,I focus my full attention on my “baby” and do everything a parent would do for a “real” baby so I don’t have to think too much on being in public,and yes I do know my doll is simply a doll for things like pregnancy loss,infertility,dementia,etc etc but it still helps to take your mind off things especially if you love children! I personally am just too young and not financially stable yet so I’m holding off on having a real child for a bit but I love kids and want two of them later so until then,this is a real life saver!

If she is happy doing this, then I am happy for her. Cute doll. I am trying to ask this in the nicest possible way. What leads a person to want one of these dolls? I could see a 9 year old with one. For an adult to have one of these seems unusual. I saw a lady with a fake baby in a restaurant and she was behaving as though it was real. I thought maybe she was mentally disturbed. I guess I do not understand why someone would want one of these?
I have one who is my "comfort" baby. I have PTSD with an anxiety disorder. Holding/rocking her increases oxytocin which drops my anxiety. I've had her for 4yrs now she works great in fighting my anxiety as opposed to medication

Cute doll. I am trying to ask this in the nicest possible way. What leads a person to want one of these dolls? I could see a 9 year old with one. For an adult to have one of these seems unusual. I saw a lady with a fake baby in a restaurant and she was behaving as though it was real. I thought maybe she was mentally disturbed. I guess I do not understand why someone would want one of these?

I have autisme and am not able to take care for a baby, i have a silicone reborn and she helps me so much to still some sort of making my dream coming true to have a child❤ holding her and stuff helps me feeling less lonely or sad💕
