Summertime Sadness is meant to be a SAD/slow song not a freaking party song.
Well this was on the radio, and the radio messes up every great slow and/or sad song. For example, Hanging Tree. They made that song a dance song, while the original was calming, slow, and kinda eerie.

*1.* The remix is more popular than the original.
*2.* The remix changes the meaning of the song.
*3.* The remix is disliked by the artist.
This remix is all of these. Management needs to grow up and not care so much about money, and care about what the artist wants.

This remix (like the purpose of most remixes) has been great for her bank account and has introduced her to people who wouldn't have ever discovered her. Not the worst thing in the world. It will be great in all genres no matter what your preference because it was a great song to begin with.

I absolutely adore lana del rey, I prefer the original as I think its beautiful, but I understand why people like this too, I just think lana deserves a grammy for the original song..
I feel like this video is chaotic, as opposed to the melancholy of the first video. It fits because it shows the chaos when you are in a situation like that, your mind feels like it's fragmenting, splitting and all you can do is come along for the ride. The video fits the music, only in a different way. There are many aspects to a situation...even sadness and depression can be chaotic and wild.
