"I'm your huckleberry", "I'll shoot you down", what an awesome exchange. Cool to see these two guys referencing Doc Holiday (I guess "Tombstone" came out around this time). Easily two of the best gunslingers of this era.
James Toney can adjust to any style, but to beat speed it takes timing and an entire training camp. Toney should have asked for a rematch after three years and fight 10 opponents during that time, and go through a training camp to land the left hook . Similar to Robinson vs Turpin rematch where Robinson landed the left hook early and get Turpin out.
It wouldn’t matter. This was Roy’s hardest fight and he still didn’t look like he tried. Toney is good, but no best shape of Toney beats Roy even before his main prime
RJJ was slightly better at a young age but Toney would have killed him later but never got a rematch. Toney is always seen in that imbalanced blunder, he's better than this
Lights Out!

I remember watching this as it happened and didn't know who either of these guys were at the time. Two very good fighters but Roy was one of the best.
He is I might post on him next him and Tommy hearns are very underrated
This awesome stuff

😂👎💩 Roy winner 🏆☝💯🤙
Toney said later that he was sick before the fight. He certainly looked that way early in the fight.
