Thank you, I am glad to hear that. I did hesitate long time to upload the footage because I was not happy with the quality, I tried all sorts of editing software to improve color, sharpness, contrast, etc. but in the end I dumped everything and just used the raw footage as it came out of the camera.
What magnificent creatures! They must love playing ''Racehorses'' with a Ship... Reminds me of a 3D card I had as a child, of dolphins leaping and diving in a glassy sea....💕
The pressure from the wave of the bow is pushing them forward. In some instances depending where in front/alongside/behind the ship they are, they're basically surfing. I couldn't explain the physics of this for the life of me though! Lol. Just from what I've read and seen videos, and did a dolphin watching cruise in the gulf of Mexico where they explained it.
I saw a reference to a study that while dolphins are doing this (bow riding) their heart rates were lower, because the wave from the bow is pushing them forward.
GOD, how I absolutely miss being out in the ocean and seeing dolphins, whales, sunrise/sets, moon, ocean waves, flying fishes, sea birds, stars, milky way, shooting stars, and port calls😢😢😢😢.
They are so fast!.......It is tragic, to see Dolphins and Orca in ''Sea World'' captivity....they belong in the Free Oceans, where they can go where they like, to race with ships and each other.
Thank you for sharing this fantastic footage. I had just read an article recently that they are not sure if the Dolphins are doing this for food or play or a combination. I like to think it’s for play and the pure enjoyment of being a dolphin.
Ahhhhhhhwwwww so stunning 😊 I wonder how much fun it must be to surf like this lol Love dolphins - lets stop 🛑 Japans mindless slaughter of these incredible creatures. Stop 🛑 killing coves NOW! TY 4 wonderful vid! ✌️
Not at all, we steered our course. Dolphins like to do this and follow the ship for a while, if it is not going too fast. As you can see they are having fun.
Thank you for this video! The dolphins are a good omen. We really appreciate your videos and commentary.

@@Wolfgang227 The footage is beautiful. And I also wondered how the dolphins could keep ahead of the ship for such a long time!

Those dolphin are nuts. That's gotta be like running right in front of a train and they are just having fun. :)

How do dolphins move so fast? No propellers - motors...amazing!! 😁👍
Muscle power
Flipping motion

Wooowww this video made my day happier! on a cold and rainy Thursday in July of a cold winter in the extreme south of Brazil.
- I am happy to hear that, a while ago I was in Manaos carrying Soybeans to Spain.

TY 4 wonderful vid! ✌️
You are welcome, yes I saw some videos of the Japanese chasing them into a bay and slaughter all, it is just horrible.
Ps, from wot i understand they r actually surfing. Something about the wake from the front of the ship, propels them forward at gr8 speed.
I had seen this in my life
What an incredible sight to see! The wonders of God's creation.
They never get tangled in the propellers or whatever? Wow!
They are very fast and never come near the propellor.
Suoer...
Thank you for sharing...
You are very welcome, glad you like it.
Looks like they are using the ship as a decoy againsts their predators and navigating.
did you hunt for the dolphins? 😂😂😂

And where was this?
Somewhere in the Indian Ocean,
your speed is so fast ?
About 12 knots, if faster they would not follow the ship, it would be too tiresome for them.
very nice
So cool
سبحان الله الخالق
Where in the world is this?
In the Indian Ocean.
