Thanks for this comment - it was only after reading this and adding the file extension that I got it to work! It is indeed clearly shown by Lucidate Dataworks in the video - which is much appreciated as I could not find any other help anywhere on this simple but rather important capability - but as you say CN it would help first-timers like me to specifically remind to include the file extension.
Now, what if you have 100 record, and you want the photo field link address to have a default value from the name field ? Like : ="\C:\Face Photo\FIRST NAME.jpg" Is there a way to make "first name" a default value taken from the first name field ?
I need to do just this, but you didn't tell what I need to know. I need to make a relative path to the photos in the folder, so that the access file + image folder can be moved to other computers. Unfortunately you only showed it with the absolute path. How do you make a relative path?
I will be using my database on two different computers, and the path where I will store my image files will not be the same. Do you know if instead of typing the entire path of the image file, I can indicate the path is a specific folder inside the "current path", meaning wherever the database lives on the particular computer I'm using?
Is it possible to lock the size, without having to edit the photos? for example, I have a database with employees, but a few admin using their phones to take pictures of new employees, and everyone uses different phones these days (android vs apple and such) which ends up causing different sizes and resolutions, but say I decide to use the image to print out paper ID cards using the database info and a form with certain certifications, but I need the pictures to be uniform in size (height/width). How would you lock it?
what about adding button to control the inserting or deleting of the file or image from the image control box? Would you mind to show us how to do that.
Torzo Tehnology - The volume on this video is very low (at least on my lap top)...It would help immensely if you could re-post this useful presentation with a better sound track.
Access 2007 Table with students with images (folder address&file names) of the classes. All what I need is: filter the table in any form (form, query, report or as table) to transform it into html file with images later. I've learned how to show the images in the form. I've learned how to filter the table. How to put it all together in one table of any form, query, report or table of some sort? Could you make such tutorial please or readdress me to somebody's already made video please?
I'm having trouble having the picture show up. All I get is the file name. I'm following exactly what you are doing, but still "blank". Is there something I'm missing?
The information is in the video if you can tolerate the annoying presentation. Very amateurish. An outline and a a modicum of forethought would have made a big difference.
+buddesatva - You are right - it was an improv. It was one of my first and just for trying out the software mostly - posted anyway in case people found it useful. Thanks for the feedback; I'll try and improve.
Good Lord! Thank you so much for this! I was going crazy looking at all these other tutorials that WERE NOT WORKING!!! 🤪
Helpful video!!! You should mention to make sure the file extension is added at the end of the file path...an easy thing to forget!!!
Many thanks - will incorporate into the "reboot"

How can I add multiple pictures to one line item? like receipts particular to one merchant?
How can this be adapted for items that have a varying number of 1 to 5 pics?
