Holy heck You acctually were able to customize something really small. I give you props for that. That is so amazing. This really made me smile. Keep it up.
The 4-6-2 configuration sounds reasonable actually, it isn’t unheard of for real life railways to modify an engine’s wheel configuration to fit certain needs.
Great work! if I may make a suggestion on paint in the future, try out Citadel Acrylic Retributor Gold and Winsor & Newton Series 7 size 0 or even 000 brush. I use it for the finer detail on my Warhammer minis. Keep up the great content!
Thank you so much brother man 🙏✨ Here’s to hoping it holds up, once Rex and Bert come along I may be out of this good luck streak I’m having with painting! 🤣
There shells were recently released so soon! However there’s other things on the workbench at the moment so it’ll probably have to wait for other projects to be completed :/
Okay, so we have 00-gauge for the North Western, N-gauge for the Skarloey Railway, and now Z-gauge for the Arlesdale Railway. All we need is a few hundred acres of land and we can build a scale model of Sodor!
Hi, very cool model ! Do you think you'll be making a layout of Aresdale ? (sorry if that's spelled wrong). Maybe something like a end to end with fiddle yard only representing the main station, shed, ballast loading area ect.
Thank you so much man! And I would absolutely love to! Unfortunately the track seen on the main layout was temporary (the track itself is very cheap and doesn’t lay right sadly) so I’ll need to figure out where and how it will set; but if I can that’s a plan! :) Hell I wonder if there’s a way to make a Ballast Chute? There’s gotta be a kit to somewhere out there haha
@@ItsTrainBoy Fair enough. For better track i would say go with Marklin, i never tried it myself. But Hey, its german ! It ought to be good quality ! haha. As far as a plan itself goes if you want i'd be more than happy to make a track-plan for you (measuraments and all) as i have a software to do it accurately. All i would need is your Email to send it to you (and if possible some general measuraments of a possible space avaiable).
aw man these look SO cool... I want to make my own custom models now. my favourite locomotive type doesn't have a model of it so I want to make my own version (or three, since I do want to build donald and douglas as i imagined them to be when I was a kid and it's the same locomotive type)
@@ItsTrainBoy lol. Thank you! Looks like whiskey or something to me. Lol looks cool to see it tho. Maybe you can do a review on it soon? If you got the time.

Hey mate as usual Your models are the BEST and may i ask what happened to Your lady model did you finish it or give up or you forgot about it and are going to make a video on it *wink wink* lol But seriously me and many others want to know
Kudos to you, Rex looks amazing. Now you have someone to bite the HO engine's ankles. Also hats off to Abby for stopping you going insane from painting.
ITS WAITING ON THE LAYOUT :(( TOO MUCH IS HAPPENING TO IT ATM Idk if this will make any sense but it changes literally every day, at the moment I’ve got a good spot with it but even what’s seen in this video; is hardly the same as it was 😭
Too bad there was no story that had the mainline engines, the narrow gauge engines and the mini engines all together. Like, having narrow gauge tracks going to Aresdale West
It looks really good man. The only thing that looks a bit off is the smokebox looks a bit too long. I hope you don't mind me saying that as I understand it must have been a hard project to do.
This wheel config makes me want to imagine that Rex was built to be a minimum-scale model of Henry's old shape (In Dalby's original illustrations). Sort of like how the RH&DR's main fleet was modeled after the A1 Pacifics.
I thought the Aresdale Engines were impossible to model but this looks amazing so far. I cant wait to see this complete
@sodorlorekeeper828 wait you did? AAAAAAAAA that's so cool
Stunning work trainboy! It would be cool if you added more weather ing but stunning work!
Thank you so much! The lining and transfers gotta come first, but once those are applied this dude is gonna get a proper treatment! 🤣
lol
@@ItsTrainBoy Engine Man
Dude, this is cool! I don't think I've ever seen anyone try to model the Arlesdale engines.
Never seen the Arlesdale modelled at all, let alone in 4mm! Very, very impressive.
From the paint work to the accuracy, the model is pristine and excellent!
Smallest green engine on sodor
Besides Percy LOL
and petersam
Definitely your best customer in a while!
👌
I thought the Arlesdale Engines were impossible to model but this looks amazing so far. I cant wait to see this complete
I'm glad we got a part 1 on Rex. He looks awesome!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR AN ARESDALE ENGINE FROM YOU.
He looks great so far. Can't wait to see the finished product.
I love that he’s basically a romney hythe and dymchurch railway engine it’s perfect
Looks fantastic as always Lance!
Your models always look so good! Amazing job!
This is an awesome Rex! Fantastic job!
Holy heck

I didn’t realize you got married yet congratulations and the model looks spectacular

You know
You and your wife made a wonderful job on the paintwork
Nice video mate, big thanks to you both for this awesome custom model. Best wishes. 👍 🚂
Okay, THIS is magic.
Omg good job train boy, rex is so smooth
Splendid, absolutely splendid model.
I recently checked on Shapeways, and they also have OOn6.5 body shells of the same R&ER locos as Mike and Bert, so that's convenient
Cool you did a hard work for making this custom model train Rex keep up the good work trainboy;)!
he looks amazing your a man of art trainboy!
you are a expert of making models.

Absolute Madlad. He looks scrumptious. Fantabulous work here good sir.
Thank you so much brother man 🙏✨
Here’s to hoping it holds up, once Rex and Bert come along I may be out of this good luck streak I’m having with painting! 🤣
petition to get him to change his intro sound to whistles
Great work! Very very impressive - especially at that size!
That’s so cool! Can’t wait to see it finished!
Love to see it bro🔥🔥🔥 keep it up man😎👑👑
i love the small engines because they're so cute and so cool
I've been on trains pulled by the real life river esk! Small world
I used to think that Mike,Bert & Rex were the smaller version of James,Gordon & Henry as a kid!
Good work on all the models you create!
Awesome!! 😎 it’s so smol!!!
I’m gonna say this, it kinda reminds me of a fusion between Henry’s old and new body in season 1
Beautiful model dude!
😮woah that’s so awesome
Also you have a wife 😱
Great work. I have a request for your next custom model. Stanley. I think it’ll look really cool.
Nice I am taking a break from ho/oo and 3D printing a prop replica of rusty in o gauge from season 1-4
when do you think you’ll do Mike and Bert?
There shells were recently released so soon! However there’s other things on the workbench at the moment so it’ll probably have to wait for other projects to be completed :/
ok
Never over look a little engine
Will you be making Mike and burt next?
Maybe not next but I will be making them :)

Are you planning at making blister 1, blister 2, frank, and Sigrid along with Bert and Mike
Rex looks awesome but will we get a layout video soon
Incredible! 5 stars!
This look like a excellent model since the miniature engines barley got merchandise
Have you thought about converting the leading bogie into a ponytruck?
Yes
Nice work
@5:08 what kind of freightcar is that? The one with the dirt looking water in it?
It’s some sort of tanker! All I know is it’s an alcohol gimmick sort of thing, so I put Makers Mark in mine lol
@@ItsTrainBoy lol. Thank you! Looks like whiskey or something to me. Lol looks cool to see it tho. Maybe you can do a review on it soon? If you got the time.
Consider doing them in T gauge?
btw...
NEVER OVERLOOK A LITTLE ENGINE!!!!
staring Rex, Mike, & Bert!
To me he kind of looks like a smaller version of Henry in his old shape
A little bit lol
Yess
You should give them numbers
Rex: 1
Sigrid: 2
Mike: 3
Jock: 4
Bert: 5
Frank: 6
I don’t think we have Numbers, but we do have the Arlesdale word and logo on our tenders.
this is what i wanted. :)
yes
So once your finished with the 3 little engines are you gonna make that one incline where they load the stone above the standard gauge engines?
yo wouldn't it be cool if Bachmann's next move was Gn15 models of these three? (thats 15in gauge in G scale that run on HO track)
Maybe take the stickers from the wind-up Rex?
Nice one. 👍
Wow keep it up

*YES*
I wonder what scale they would be in the model series if the standard gauge engines were gauge one and the narrow gauge engines were O gauge
They’d likely be oo gauge
Amazing

Wait new face for the tomix or bachmann Thomas?
Bachmann 👀👀
Well done!
Why is the earth the Thomas face when he hits in the ditch
If you have green you need more red blue and the yellow mini engine jock
Yes jock from the rws
WOW
It looks just like Rex.but slightly different
Baby Henry.

Great custom! What did you think of the Isabella fan story I wrote?
I don't care if this is a while ago have you heard of a little known thing called masking tape
The stuff I talk about using in almost every video? 💀
Nah never lol
I offer you a z scale controller, want it TrainBoy?
