Well, I stand by my statement, I find longer videos much more pleasant. I can divide it up however I want and if I need something for the second screen in home office I can watch the whole thing straight away.
34:46 Symphonic Warrior Piaano can target himself. This is HUGE. You're now able to summon that Battlewasp Halberd synchro by turning Piaano into an Insect-type tuner! Him + Marauding Captain will get you there!
These videos are perfect for when youre doing something else and cant really pay attention to the video, but if theres downtime, you can glance over and see what's going on. Ie on a matchmaking/loading screen if youre playing a game
Bro you are POPPING OFF this episode/ its seriously so much fun to see you become this strong. Every day though i'm hoping for more cubics coz damn vijam has been your ace since day 1.
I think half an hour is a minimum for this kind of content, but you can go as long as you want as long as you've got entertaining things to fill the time. Nobody wants to watch a two hour episode that has one good game, and the rest is just you scooping and getting obliterated by Meta decks. I've had no issues with and of your episodes so far, so keep doing what you're doing.
1:15:10 Crowley is actually a free special summon if you play Spellcasters. Great for setting up your rank 4s and synchros. Something to add to your caster pile. It can also freely change its attribute on field, which is... funny, I guess. Could set up future combos.
Crowley does that because it's a reference to the Invoked archetype, that needs specific attributes of their fusions. Aliester is the same person, I think.
I definitely think the length is perfect at this point. As someone who watches EAS Scenario videos that are 1 hour+ in length, I definitely love watching long videos.
Bro small world can bridge into barrier statue in your deck if you have any: fire machine, fire warrior, fire dragon. warriors being the most used you should put any fire warriors to bridge from any warrior into barrier statue essentially making 2 copies of barrier (and any other potentially amazing cards you want to see in the future)
It‘s really nice seeing your deck getting better and better. Any dark monster could give you the cubic monster, because you have no other one star fiend monster. You got insane draws.
2 hours is perfect. It gives me plenty to watch, and I can break it up into parts whenever I want to and not be beholden to waiting till the next episode drops; also opening the packs in the middle and showing the deck changes between matches is awesome
2 hours is perfecr.. it allows for us to follow you on the journey without too much unnecessary contentm We need to be able to see the improvement through the Ls and scoops without it being too quick. Personally listen/watch while working or in the car.. Helps me pass the time while getting good content.
Honestly I would look into seeing if you could build a pendulum/spellcaster pile. Not necessarily a whole deck but seeing them together would let you see if any of them are truly playable together.
I love the longer videos. I will have this playing while I’m driving or doing some menial stuff, or I’ll have it on while playing a game that doesn’t need my attention. Change nothing please. Or do what news channels do and break up the individual duels into videos that you upload side by side with the main video. That way those people with short attention spans can watch one video at a time. But please keep the length of these the exact same.
The return of the normal is amazing. It triggers on ANY monster summon, including your opponents, they don't need to be a normal monster. You should be playing it
You can just cut the video into 30-40 min parts and upload them one part a day or twice a day so that both sides can be happy about it. Those who want longer can just watch 2 videos and those who want shorter can just watch parts on their own convenience
Its amazing if you have a free special summoning monster (I have it and two Jester Confits in my masochist run) because the returned monster can sometimes just summon itself right back to the field.
I love the long episodes they always satisfy my masochist episode needs by length yours are my favorite along with cimo your 1hr 40 to 2 is fine with me! Edit: Well I had the masochist idea before I knew what to call it but it was a rogue like mode I was inspired by playing inscryption so I don't think it would be in the spirit to save the tickets cause it's like a choose your upgrade part of the rogue-like aspect of the masochist challenge but if everyone votes for you to save them then it would be decided.
Keep the long episodes. I don't see the problem is literally more content. People can always comeback to the video (that's what I do). I really enjoy opening the packs as soon as posible, they are silly and maybe they drop an insta upgrade. Love the series!
Honestly playing this challenge, I really get the feeling that THIS IS Yu-Gi-Oh how Kazuki Takahashi intended. You're literally play like one of the characters of the manga. Your deck is an inconsistent mess, but you still make it work. Just like Yugi, Joe and even to a degree Kaiba. Monster types slowly coming together to form a theme for your deck. Even archetypes slowly building up and trying to gain your attention, like "duel spirits" swarming around you. Getting a boss monster, where you try to fit your deck around. And you can't tell me that those who do the challenge, when they aren't streaming it, don't shout out a chant for their not so easy to summon boss monster whenever it hits the field and nobody's looking. Also you start to feel attached to your deck, carefully considering each card that get switched out. The deck in itself feels so much more important to yourself, then just switching from Meta deck to Meta deck. It matters, but maybe thats just me. And yes I only had this thought process because I got my third Kozmo Frontrunner today. I only need one more ship and one more pilot and I can shift my deck to include a Kozmo engine. Kind of completing the space theme that was slowly building up with my Ghoti monsters. Also 2 hours is perfect, whenever you upload I tend to play my own challenge alongside it.
I feel an hour and 30ish (sometimes a little longer like this vid or sometimes a little shorter) is perfect. It's more than enough time for a series like this, but also doesn't feel too long. regardless I like this series both on the og channels that made it available, and yours so keep up the great work. hopefully we see the deck shine in higher tiers at some point.
I started this challenge a few days ago and managed to get Inspector Boarder which has carried me into plat. I was thinking that might be the card you said you really wanted to pull. Managed to avoid meta decks on the climb there but can't seem to get past plat 4 atm
Longer videos = more content. More content is always welcome!! Maybe include the better games that you play and speed through the stinkers / include your total W/L record sorta like Cimo...
As a recommendation i´d take a good long time to read through all the bulk you have and build 2 , 3 or more decks with different gameplans and composition from one another. The reason for this is that you seem to have very good cards that do not help your current deck , that is becuase you are thinking on improving your actual gameplan instead of coming up with another different one that could potentially be more effective that what you´re playing with atm, I like to play garbage decks from time to time and that´s something that helped me a lot. Not to mention you pulled INSANE shit on this episode like... my fucking god i wish i had a fraction of that luck As for the lenght, as long as your videos are as entertaining as this then time should not matter, your masochist run is amazing!, planing to go for one myself
keep opening the Legacy Packs when you get them. that way there are more chances of you upgrading your deck the Xyz person was playing a thematic deck. a fusion of the decks of the Seven Barian Emperors
I think that Dimension Slice can’t miss timing because it’s a mandatory effect if you do fulfill its requirements and activated it. If it said “When” and then “you can”, like with Geartown for example, you would miss timing
the tiamaton Bing bang shot was a sick combo. I would play small World for barrier statue actually but I do not know how small World works. gagaga magician should be good because you can access multiple xyz now
For myself in the masochist challenge I made a rule for myself if I go up a entire tier so from like silver to gold bronze to silver. I can purchase a bundle like the ash bundle etc. I started with the slider bundle cause that many packs is a huge help for the start.
I think a 1 hour video is a good length. What's most important is the quality of the duels, paired with insightful or fun commentary. 2 hours can feel a bit excessive, especially if it's compromised of you mostly getting obliterated, or when you stall an opponent and there's no good payoff. I think you should continue to open legacy packs as you win, afterall what if do pull a card that improves your deck.
So as far as time length of video goes, usually I find a 50-60 minutes to be good, the last one was long but at the same time when I had to go do something else, I was happy their was still more to go back to, so while it did take me more than one sitting, I did watch every minute of it.
For the video when cimoooooooo said he was making them longer videos on this series i loved it he used to do 45 minutes now his videos are like an hour and 45 minutes which is good i like it
I'm doing something a little different in master duel. Only use cards I get from the structure decks and any cards I get from legacy packs. Basically, I'm using cards that you can't dismantle.
Make the episodes as long as you want. Best part about if a video is long, you don't need to watch it in one sitting and can come back to it at any time. So do the videos however long you please and maybe just say that reminder to people complaining it's too long.
Definitely open up legacy packs as you go. The payoff for the audience if you wait isn't that high and you might get a card that helps you win more packs!
Longer post warning I suppose So I started a masochist run myself, along with a friend, and we weren't especially motivated to play out the early games and just scoop over and over waiting for "free" wins from stuff like selftk bots without any real input. right? So what we decided on was some bonus rules to expedite the early stages without totally breaking the thing, and focusing on having fun experimenting and expanding our card pool in ways that make it more interesting. First, we started by opening a bundle(I did Judgement, he did Nibiru) but since that gives us 10 packs worth, we had to "pay back" our bonus starting packs. So in my case I had to wait 5 wins to open packs. Second, anytime you reach a new tier(Silver 5, Gold 5. etc) for the first time, you can open another bundle. We decided not to enforce the "debt" for bundles going forward. But you can choose whether your bundle staples are allowed or not. Third, whenever there are new packs or updated packs in the shop that give a free pull, we can do one of those in lieu of a Master Pack. We might add on something here about crafting and dismantling an SR to trade a Master Pack for a Secret Pack free pull, but we stopped our first session before deciding on it. If we do, its probably gonna be decided by a wheel spin like Master Roulette , which I assume most people have seen or heard of. Its been really fun so far, my MVPs are Danger Dogman, Koaki Meiru Ice, Statue of Anguish Pattern paired with Space Dragster, Ally of Justice Light Gazer(yes, that is my only usable ED monster and they can synchro 8 together) Demise of the Land activating Summon Breaker from deck, Juragedo, Pilgrim of the Ice Barrier, and Lightpulsar Dragon.
My MVP tends to be Juragedo and the Legacy pack SR Floodgate, And The Band Played On, which doesn't allow your opponent to summon monster with the same rank/level they control, and also Shaddol Squamata. Edit: Also I got a Metaion which let's say almost winned me a game... Almost.
Danger Dogman With Light Pulsar Dragon is tip tier in my deck. 2x Summon breaker 2x Ego boost. Heartlanddrako, Starving Venom, several Synchros. My record is 196 played 51 wins
I love the long uploads, you'd definitely lose something if you cut them down, in comparison to Cimo's uploads that err on the side of being just too short for my liking. I've never had an issue with the length because sure they're long but you've also always used the time well and your editing has improved a lot since you started. Honestly. If it were up to me I'd ask you not to change a thing - video lengths and the way you open Legacy packs - and keep going at the pace you're comfortable and happy with
This is inherently a longer format series, you also are getting much better at cutting out content that does nothing
Well, I stand by my statement, I find longer videos much more pleasant. I can divide it up however I want and if I need something for the second screen in home office I can watch the whole thing straight away.
Yeah there's nothing wrong with a long video. Some people just feel like they have to finish the whole thing in one sitting
Please don't leave the legacy packs to the end because we like to see the deck continuously upgrading.
Yea whoever thought of that was an idiot
34:46 Symphonic Warrior Piaano can target himself. This is HUGE. You're now able to summon that Battlewasp Halberd synchro by turning Piaano into an Insect-type tuner! Him + Marauding Captain will get you there!

I LOVE the longer format. 2 hours is perfect but when I don’t have time to watch in one sitting I can come back later no problem
Why would people argue about the length?? You can literally pause the video and go back to it later. You don’t need to watch 2 hours straight 😂
It's the zoomer tiktok attention span. Sad tbh

Dark horus works well with fires of doomsday
Warrior of Atlantis is also a 1900 normalsummon. Might be good enough as well for a beatdown deck.
The return of the normal is amazing. It triggers on ANY monster summon, including your opponents, they don't need to be a normal monster. You should be playing it

The return to the normal works with any monster, so its a form of mass removal.
I like long videos from you in this series then again cutting multiple episodes and quicker upload means more money in the algorithm.
