I love your channel because you are us - a comic reader/fan who has a budget. The conversation you had Action Comics #1074 is so relatable and familiar. It's also why I switched to DCUI Ultra because now, for $99 a year, I can read weekly comics like that and enjoy them without having them destroy my budget. Looking forward to Absolute Superman #1 and I'll be getting that one from Candy Digital - a readable NFT with exclusive covers like one that has a Rafa Sandoval signature and another that is Jim Lee pencil artwork only. Both are possible to get for just $9.99 if you're interested. Plastic Man No More has been great and I've never read a Plastic Man book before. It humanizes a character that should be unrelatable/fantastic. Agree with you on that one wholeheartedly.
Absolute Superman is my most hyped book for the week as well! Superman coming to Earth as an adult? Without a Fortress of Solitude? No family? I can't wait to read it!
I was doing pretty well with a maximum of 5 comic books per week. NCBD Nov. 6th said, "Not a chance." I am at 10 books for this weekly pullbox and for Nov. 27. This month is heavy. And I've practiced restraint, too. When I see Jason Aaron, I order it. "In God of Thunder I Trust."
I didn’t care much about Superman until recently reading Joshua Williamson’s run so far up to House of Brainiac, and now I’ve ordered the PKJ’s Warworld saga and trying to follow this weekly Action Comics run. It’s not on my pull list so I’m making a weekly choice if I want to drop it or not. So far it’s been entertaining, although I have no idea what the Supergirl backup is about. And hyped for Absolute Superman for sure. I’ve really enjoyed Chip’s Batman run but his overall Failsafe/Zur story ended with Dark Prisons going into Absolute Power so I think he was trying to get off the book anyway. His substack said they asked him to write one more arc so that’s what Dying City is. I dunno hopefully it’s good, the first issue was promising. I’ll also likely be checking out Batgirl and Ducktales. My LCS doesn’t get that much stock for the shelves but they try to stock up on new #1s so I’ll see if they have any.
I’m pretty hyped for Batgirl and Ultimates myself, as well as Shazam and the finale of My Adventures With Superman. I’d say Gargoyles Quest as well, but I was just notified that it got delayed AGAIN to next week.
I'm most excited for The Ultimates #6 since that book just gets better with every issue and Absolute Superman is hopefully another amazing book in the Absolute DC line up.
I love Jason Aaron. Batman Off World has been fun, his action comics run was awesome, his current runs on Namor and TMNT are both great as well. Safe to say I’m thinking Absolute Superman is gunna be on my pull list for awhile. Man I’m happy you’re liking X-Force cause I’m loving the team. The Sage/Forge dynamic isn’t something I was expecting to like as much as I do. Pumped for Batgirl. Art should be top tier.
26:35 as a native american/indigenous person myself. It's been really cool and makes younger me really happy to finally have a few characters that look more like me in media and especially comics since I've been getting into them :) (started last December, coming up on 1 year!!🎉) Never thought I'd see the likes of a character like Kahhori in mainstream marvel and getting a solo title , and seeing the new Hawkeye is native american too❤🎉❤ It just feels really good finally being able to see people who look like me in the media I consume. Not a big crazy point or anything. Just wanted to share. I knew I'd be able to share it with your channel without being mocked or anythng ❤️ thanks for having a great community, Bj 🔥
Thanks for this comment, Kerry! My goal has always been to foster an environment where everyone is tolerant and welcoming to each other, despite whatever differences we may have. I’m so glad the new Hawkeye resonates with you! Let me know how you like the Kahhori book.
New reader. Can I ask why? I can totally see it being the same reason that I kind of like it. It’s what I expect from Wolverine. I wish it was more considering the “red band” label but it’s hooked me by playing into the Wolverine BS I know and love. Being what I expect has made me see it as a “safe bet” in terms of reading.
Recently got back into collecting and haven't collect since i was a kid. This is alot of fun but i need to be careful about overbuying. Recently bought a Bartman#1 and Scarlett Witch #1. Whats on your monitor on the backdrop, is it a site to track comics?
Just started back into comics... "inherited" a collection. Seen new TMNT.. Gotta catch up on the Jason Aaron TMNT. That story has me locked in. Also GI Joe .. got a taste of that in last months Transformers.

DC is killing with the Absolute titles!

Absolute Superman & Something is Killing the Children #0 are my most anticipated for Wednesday 😁

Getting JSA, Absolute Superman and Batgirl

Great video. I just started reading All the absolute series. This video helps me pick some other stuff I may wanna dig In to. Love the content

Plastic man is my favorite comic!
I'm so jealous that some people got to read absolute superman almost a month ago!
Ducktales looks fun! I'm excited that Dynamite is releasing this, they do such a good job with licensed properties. 🦆
Personally I’m extremely disappointed with Greg Capullo Wolverine’s Revenge.

use Comic Geek, its the site on his computer screen in the background. makes collecting and tracking releases a million times easier
I think ultimates is very good, but I like ultimate spider-man and ultimate black panther more
I'm keeping Action till the end of the year. I want to finish Waids story. But I'll drop it after that.
Just started back into comics... "inherited" a collection. Seen new TMNT.. Gotta catch up on the Jason Aaron TMNT. That story has me locked in. Also GI Joe .. got a taste of that in last months Transformers.
I am in the same boat where I may be cutting X-Men because my budget is killing me.
Drop FOUR books and add Shadowman.
I don’t have to worry about budget I completely dropped Marvel
Well I’m not begging you anymore 😂
@@claytonhenry5827 🤣🤣🤣
@@claytonhenry5827 I’m sure we’ll be having this same convo next week lol
I dropped X-men, it's pretty lame anyways. I enjoyed the art for the first few issues but the writing is terrible.
