Nice job. But why drill out the spot weld on floor so you could replace with entire new part? Only use what you need of the new part and trim it down. Keeping spot weld and floor original
You would been better off repairing the original piece with the cut ups off the cheapo replacement part. Even after cutting off the step, it was still in better shape than the "new" section.

That's the problem with using cheap nasty aftermarket parts, they definitely are inferior products that produce an inferior end product.
True, but you need to adjust even the best quality aftermarket panels and they are 3 times the price.
Unnecessary job , if it ain’t broke don’t fix it .
