It's about the one millionth time I listen this song, and it's still marvellous. Sometimes I forget about it and sometimes I have to listen to it once again just to remember how good this is. It's literally a masterpiece. It's everything, musically and poetically, a good song sould be.
I'm 50 years old and been a Sabbath fan since I first heard them when I was 7. This younger generation needs to get away from all the auto-tune garbage and listen to some real music.
I agree.... I am 59. I bought this record with in just a day or two of it being released.... It was on my turntable constantly... I was 14 or 15 when this was new....all of my records were stolen back 35 years ago or so.... I have been replacing with cds ... just found this yesterday. It sounds SO GOOD....the guitar is SO ELECTRIC.... and man could Ozzy sing back then!!! One of my favorite vocalist ... and NO ONE Sounds better with SABBATH!!!!
I send lyrics to my twin flame, he picks up the song💜 and where my heads at, sent him this 3 years ago, he rung 2day 2 say it came on in a hairdresser's he's working at 😁🤘
An absolute masterpiece, then, and now. So glad I grew up with the music I did. Every generation tells the last their music sucks, but this time they're right. Mostly computer generated "instruments", voices enhanced( been the case for ages, but now Sam Elliot could be made to sound like a soprano) and when they do sing it's about serving Satan apparently. REALLY serving Satan, not just playing a role like Priest and such were doing. Peace, and thanks for the jam!
These are the Gods of Hardcore in your face reality rock n roll. The Fathers of Heavy Metal. These guys scared the shit out of parents and are the reason we turn it up to 11. Listen and hear the lyrics of any Sabbath, they promoted Love/with a sometimes harsh reality. God Bless
For me this song is the best of Black Sabbath: A party of the triton with great guitar and drums and good lyrics! And I have a special experience with this song: I was in a holiday camp in charge for the small boys. The big guys had fun to aggraviate them. But the boss of the big youngsters was a fan of Black Sabbath! So I wrote a postcard home: I need my cassettes here! They arrived, and so I could play this song in the evening disco. Thumps up by the fan, and then we had no problems anymore. This is the power of music!
I have heard Ozzy sing his yea yea at the end of just about every verse they do and this song has by far the coolest yea yea .I'm sure some of you know what I mean.
Phew... haven't heard this song in ages. That's Ozzy's remembrance of Woodstock: "Take my hand and we'll go riding through the sunshine from above. We'll find happiness together in the summer skies of love." So ingenious.
I mean c'mon. I'm 52 in 2023, I ve been a fan out all, do wop, Elvis, 60-70 bands , 80s pop , rolling into hair metal, to club music, vanilla ice to Mc hammer into MTV, 90s hair thrash /powergroove metal, to indy rock, grunge, alternative back to pop boy bands and whatever the f now, but I'm making a case here. Is Ozzy the Greatest Rock star of all time? I'm not necessarily saying it, I'm just felt compelled to bring up that debate. The dude was on the frontline with dark metal with sabbath in the late 60s-midn70s, then when to solo career and was the guy carrying the torch for the metal Community during the MTV days and the songs are classic at stadiums and and to mention all of the accolades , he partied harder than anyone he is still kicking it today. He is definitely a legend in a National Treasure
Being 24 but a huge Black Sabbath fan since I was 12 or so. I agree with this being the greatest love song ever written, so much so that I'd have it play at my wedding when the time is right.
You can look for Sepultura version of this song in Tribute album to Black Sabbath. If i'm not mistaken, it was released in 1995/6..or around that time.. 😁
Half the magic is hidden in the unknown. Love realizing the true lyrics decades after resonating with a song I feel I know like the back of my hand, new wonders are forever blooming. Life is forever changing and new lights being lit along the way 🤙
When it comes to Ozzy's singing, this is one of his best performances. This is for anyone who say that Ozzy can't sing
Totally 100% agreed
They are free to their opinion. Just as I am free to my opinion, and I say fuck em

Doing the same thing right now
Totally with you
Could not agree more dude!! Here we are #2020 and it’s keeping us afloat.
That's how I feel about Black Sabbath in general lol. I can't even explain how much I love them. They're my fav band haha
One of the most kick ass songs ever created on planet earth... or even the universe 🤘
I'm 50 years old and been a Sabbath fan since I first heard them when I was 7. This younger generation needs to get away from all the auto-tune garbage and listen to some real music.
Michael Miller I’m only 26 years young and Ive been listening to Sabbath since I can remember. I couldn’t agree more. All bullshit auto tune...

Played this with our coverband in Amsterdam 2004-2006, almost every week in rockbar the Cave. Audience loved it, headbanging bunch 🙂
Thrashing before thrash thrashed. 🎸
Perhaps even where thrash began to thrash.
@@sheeeeesh9397 Some people just don't know shit, lmao.

Yes ,as all the Black Sabbath songs

WTF were these lads on to get lyrics like this! Simply beautiful.
Black Sabbath is a band that never dies!!!!
They were on an American fuck ton of drugs.
Oh a mix of things 😂😉
Weed and psychedelics are crying out for recognition.
👌🏼this song has so many parts, it is like a journey
One of the best songs by one of the best EVER bands! Thanks for this!!🔥🔥🔥
Agreed! I’m 39 and I loved this sound since 94!
Tony Iommi's riff on this is so heavy it's literally creating a black hole on another universe every time I hear it!
Another Sabbath song. that's like fine wine.
Sick, the theme and the music together, the whole idea. Who makes a love song with a main riff as sick as fuck as this one, lol!
I bought this album in 1976 and I STILL listen to it!!!!!!! 4:25 is when the best part of the song starts
Bruh I was 3
Bruh chur chur 4.25
I found the Album latee 80s still play it 🎉🎉

Seventh advent unicorn is correct.
