You can never go back, unfortunately in some ways. I am fonder and fonder of these Cadillacs as the model years go back to that '75 / '76 Eldorado. And Johnny Olson was a brilliant announcer who learned his craft in the old school, was fantastic comic relief in the Price is Right showcase skits with the models, and I remember was a brilliant pinch hitter in an episode of Match Game where he filled in briefly until one of the panelists finally appeared. Just an absolutely great sense of humor, and salt-of-the-earth kind of guy by all accounts. It's been 35 years plus since he has passed, and I remember that time; RIP, Johnny!

1:40, gold 1976 Seville. Cannot believe they gave that away on the Price Is Right. 1st year for the Seville, cannot stress enough how hot/desirable that car was in So Cal at that time. That "box on wheels" look was really hot in the late 70's/early 80's then went out of fashion real quick with the more aero designs of the 80's(think Ford Thunderbird and Taurus)
@@brettcannon74 My father had a 78 Seville.. the expensive computer that ran it kept breaking down and needing replacement.. after the 3rd one went out he gave up on it and parked it in the field and bought an 86 jeep cherokee, which turned out to be even less reliable lol.. He only got 7 years out of the cadillac.. and less than 80 thousand miles! It was a cool and exclusive car in its time, but my mother had a burgundy 78 monte carlo, which was pretty unique looking too, and far more reliable than the seville! If I had my choice today I'd take the monte carlo.. but the seville would be cool to have too.. if there was a way around that damn computer he kept swearing about lol
I used to watch reruns of classic TPIR on GSN back in the 1990’s. I was about 8 years old and used to love how back them they would present the new cars and the music would come on. The camera work and zooms amazed me. It’s what made me want to be a camera man today.

Of course now that Bob Barker has passed away at the age of 99; he will be sorely missed by many. Bob Barker was a TV grandpa for many kids who were staying home from school due to being sick or if their school district had a teachers in-service as well as if it was summer vacation or during a holiday break. Those kids would turn on the TV and tune into their local CBS station just to see Bob and hear his familiar comforting voice.

Amazing to see them all together over the years. Coming from a Cadillac family we always seem to have had one growing up or else my dad would get a Lincoln. Right now we're hanging on for dear life to a 1990 Eldorado it needs work but we want to keep it going lol. I was using it for 3 months while my car was being repaired and it was so interesting to relive how the accessories have changed. NO reminder for seat belt, NO reminder that my lights were on (oops battery died one day), etc. Things like that you appreciate today.

This video was so cool....wow......when I did a report as college freshman in 1999, on the high expensive winnings of day time game show contestants, confirmed it was actually rare the contestant actually chose the car they won while show was being filmed. The taxes the consumer had to pay was alot of money, oftentimes insurance was expensive for the people having a new beauty expensive Caddy. So they would take the reduced amount of cash, minus a bunch of taxes and then end of yr pay more taxes on the cash winnings as it became earned income....doesn't that suck??? Well, it sure was fun to watch these though..

How can cars be so big and long ? From then on I fell in love with America, truly the greatest country in the world ! When I was very little in the mid to late 90's my Grandparent's had a 1990 Cadillac Deville Braughm! It was such a treat to go cruising in that thing! Pure luxury! However it had it's drawback's as well! Plastic on the back rear around the light's, cheap inside's including the leather in spot's, Some faulty electronic's, and a of other issue's!
