I agree about the video quality. I feel like there was maybe more they could've done in editing to make it more clear that the grittiness and graininess of the video was on purpose. And more than that, I wish their teaser pics were done in high def, even though the MV wasn't. The teaser pics literally looked like they were just still shots of this MV, and they were much more zoomed in so it was far more noticeable. At first I thought it was my internet, but after a while I realized, that's just how they were shot/edited to look. The girls also mentioned in a video where they reacted to the MV that the scene with the building on fire was supposed to be way more dramatic. They were told the whole thing would be on fire, like a pillar of fire behind them. Instead, it just ended up being the little bits at the top of the scaffolding that were on fire. I don't really understand why that changed in editing. I truly hadn't noticed the fire the first watch through cause I was so focused on the girls. I just feel like this video could have done a lot more, especially since it's been a bit since their last come back, and they finally got back to their dark concept, which I know most Plorys were waiting for. I feel like the concept was there, but it just felt kinda rushed or kept under budget. I loved this song, and I think the girls looked amazing. But I wish RBW would just do better with promoting their groups, and part of that is with their MVs and teasers. I agree with you. If I didn't already know PK and my first interaction with them was these teasers or this MV, I don't know if I would have looked further for any other reason but the sound of the song itself.
I think the blurring that you talk about fits with the breaking free concept. Note that the rare shots when they are outside do not have the blurring. Ireh bound with the roses that she tears out of and grinds in floor. Swan breaking the chains on the door. For the next you have to notice the pomegranite. The bride dresses connect with Persephone. The burning structure represents the fires of Hades which they are escaping.
Good point with the moments where they're outside. I was aware that it was on and off at certain times but couldn't pay attention to when exactly that was.
Hey, go for it. Wherever it fits for you. That's the cool thing about music in general. You can really listen to anything anywhere and every person has a completely different understanding and type of mood for the same song.
