I use to shear sheep. I did it for 11 years. For fun I'd go the the odd speed shear and have a go. 32 seconds was my best. But that rewaka tavern I did a few there too.

man that is such a beautiful place - back in '11 i took on of those catamarans and just did a day tour along the able tasman. next day over the takaka hill into the golden bay...
Great memories for me too Clay. You and I both worked picking tobbaco for the same people m8. I picked the last ever season there. Kaiteriteri has changed with all those houses. I also worked for the Wilkins on the right before the bridge, heading to Riwaka. Spent a few good nights in the Riwaka pub too lol..
Brings back so many memories I spent years camping playing tramping sailing letting of fire works going to guy folks big Bon fires on kaiteriteri Beach and last but not least that flying fox best childhood . Also did you ever know a cop called Stuart Chalmers? Thanks for going for a drive there I miss home so much .
Awesome Clay, man it has changed since l was last there, some nice houses, you sure live in a nice part of the country. Would you mind showing us up around Brightwater way l think there is an old tunnel that you can cycle thru somewhere there. Thanx
It's funny bro, cause when you say Kaiteriteri you say Kaiteddyteddy, and you say teddy kind of immature, no offense, my reo is not the ideal, it's a criticism with no disrespect, love it, Kai teddy teddy, remember the r has a roll on effect, doesn't it? ... it almost sounds like your holding back on those last syllables, wouldn't dare complain on ya for that, we live in a beautiful country and even tho this area is influxed with a predominant form of wealth, there is beauty is our country regardless, love your vids bro, fish hard!

Our paths must have crossed. I picked the very last crop of tobacco ever to be grown in Riwaka. Tony Fry was my boss.

Has anyone ever prospected any of the land there for Gold or coal?
Yes. There are a few spots over Takaka way you can pan for gold
