@@kochstead The point is Corbin is 12 years old close to 13 but think back to what were you doing as a 12-13 year old not too many can process a pig or deer
@imbroken2631 I started with 10 and doing the whole process by my self. Depends how you grow up. Grewing and not knowing thinks like that was not normal 40 years ago. Now someone is special if he knows how to process an animal. Time changed.
I would have never thought to add butter to my spaghetti, but I will do that next time to see if I notice a difference. Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks for going through the extra work to make this video when you are obviously very, very busy. I enjoyed the whole video, but the icing on the cake with a cherry on top was when Buggie said, “Bye!” ❤ Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Another great HH video!! No nonsense, no pretense, no dragging out routine and repetitive tasks BUT enough to give us some insights as to how you got certain things done. Good thing Buggy and Elizabeth have those four bros to guard your driveway in the years to come… before they meet B at the door! Well, actually they may be all gone by then and Ben will be in the minority on the homestead!!
We grew up with a deer or two hanging in our old pear tree every Fall. Mom made the best stew and dad made some sauerbratten every Christmas. That was saved for after most everyone went home after the usual buffet dinner. Dad usually added some fat of some sot to the ground meat and the sausage because the deer meat is so lean.
I have a question ? How is the pork after canning it... when it was cooked first was it dry.... Asking because I don't know and I can alot of left over dishes only 2 of us now but raised 7 kids I still can't cook for two..lol Thanks....love your family...
Well I just enjoyed your video. Everything going on is awesome. I will write to you and ask you for your recipe for challah bread . It looked delicious Happy Thanksgiving. We truly are Blessed. Amein
Meg good job congratulations on saving all the parts that you can of an animal when you're processing the meat or the meat chickens you're doing a good job I can't say anything better about that Meg and Ben sorry about that I forgot Ben I can't do that can I Meg. Ben and Corbin did a good job on the deer meat that is Meg. We couldn't ask for anything more could we Meg ❗ Meg and Ben, you have a good Thanksgiving on Thursday and I will say I enjoy every time you put a video out of your videos of the family Meg and Ben and family 👍👍👏👏❗❗❗ The person that put out the comment his name is MARK.
Luv ur family! The boys are awesome! Glad they help/work at different places. They are so versatile! Your spaghetti looks delicious! The girls are so adorable! Thank you for sharing this video!
Hello What a great harvest of meat you all got this year. I wish i could do all that. & you might want to think of bringing your green thing with your parsley in the house to have all winter. & your little baby girl is so cute looking. So glad you had 1 more girl. I hope you all can get back at your home add on rooms again. I hope you can get it all done so you have more room soon.
Betsy and Buggy are so cute, and we know them well, you should also introduce us to your nearly grown boys, they're old enough for publicity if the young girls are! I don't even have their names straight, nor their interests!
Just a quick tip with tomato paste I found helps me ... open both ends, take the lid off one end and use the other lid to push the paste out through the can .. I find it gets most of it 😍
Boy that must have been an exhausting day. Lots of work on your feet. I like to add chopped onion and bell peppers to my quick spaghetti meal. Wish you guys a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!
Seriously, I am stuff full at the moment and still watching you cook makes me salivate. You and Loraine both put on a spread, even in quick mode, that would please a King.
My husband brought home a apple fed deer the owner was tired of. He did everything like Ben did and that was decades ago. We still talk about how good my deer meat spaghetti sauce was. 😂
🌷Good morning Beautiful Meg! I saw Mini Chicky crawling over there, she is just totes adorbs! Byeeee Little Chicky 👋🏻😘 Mmm luv me some venison!! Love & Hugs galore!!
I must have missed when Elizabeth became mobile, as she ran into the back of Ben, those big eyes wondering whats happening- so cute.... Its always feels good to get things squirreled away- I pickled a load of Beetroot, and made a bunch of chutneys and sauces before things went fully over this weekend past. The Deer looked good too, will there be a video on how the jerky is made? Venison is also great as biltong and droewors - a favourite of mine from my time in South Africa.
Your family is so gorgeous (inside and outside 😊). You littlest looks like the Gerber baby, but thankfully being much better fed 😊. It puts a smile on my face when Buggy says bye at the end of the video! 🥰
Happy Thanksgiving, Hollars. I hope the residents of N Carolina receive an influx of financial support to help them through the cold weather coming up!
I mix the pasta with the sauce too and I add butter. It really finishes it off so nicely. My friend keeps telling me it is goulash not spaghetti. I dunno. I just know it is yummy and the leftovers are even better. Good hearty Fall fare. Love your cooking canning baking videos. Meg Rocks Big Time.
Elizabeth is so precious. Big ole eyes so sweet. Buggy is so pretty and grown up. Y’all have the prettiest children.
She's blessed with a good mama & pappa!
All true! Their children are all beautiful as their parents!
I was just thinking the same thing very handsome boys and beautiful girls!
She steals the show every time!
Highlight for me was seeing your son reach for your baby's hand as you all said grace. Precious moment that wasn't overlooked by me ❤
Awesome video , thanks for sharing !!!!! 🙏👍😊❤️
Corbin is one competent young man, didn't expect a 13 year old to be able to process a deer
They process pigs. So why shouldn't they able to process a deer? It's the same principle.

Happy Thanksgiving to the Hollar family! May Gods blessings be with yall.😊
Elizabeth is so very adorable! God definitely has Blessed you & Ben with a beautiful family!
I love it when Buggy says Bye so when she got her moment at the end, it made me so happy.
I would have never thought to add butter to my spaghetti, but I will do that next time to see if I notice a difference. Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

That baby is stealing the show.
You guys are the best!
You can use some of the deer bits to make scrapple too. An Amish friend gave me some and I am hooked.
Heya, some nice prep time before winter
Those cute little ears were the first thing I saw, LOL. So glad to see you guys, a real lift.
Thanks for sharing how you make spaghetti. All I need is the paste😊. One pot meals.... Sounds good!

Hey Ben and Corbin u guys doing great job
I like the way you made your spaghetti all in one pot. Also, the voiceover was nice too. Happy Thanksgiving!
It was nice to hear you, not saying Ben is bad Of course it's great to hear him but I missed hearing you.
How did the scallions and potatoes do in your Greenstalk?
We missed too many waterings, they got toasted. :(
Just a quick tip with tomato paste I found helps me ... open both ends, take the lid off one end and use the other lid to push the paste out through the can .. I find it gets most of it 😍
I'm with you on wanting to get the domes. Those look awesome!

Buggy needs the camera for a few hours on her own
Corbin is doing great butchering! I totally suck but that doesn't stop me from cooking! Lol! Good to see you beautiful family! Blessings!
I love doing a little balsamic vinegar in my tomato sauce. A splash of Worcestershire sauce is great too!
Shes looking at yourself in the camera .
