This is an honor to have on the organ bench Grammy Winner Organist Dr. Paul Jacobs! I love both Carol and Paul, 2 distinguished organists! I enjoyed this interview! Congratulations to both of you and God bless you!❤❤❤
I am very happy as a biginning organist in Juilliard to have Dr. Paul Jacobs as my future Professor! I was speechless when I got his first respons on my e-mail! May God bless him and guide him and his family always in his path! In Jesus name! The organ for me is the melody of the heart and the voice of the spirit! Wonderful interview and thank you Dr.Carol Williams and Dr. Paul Jacobs! You are meaning the world for me!
Carol, thank you for posting these interviews. They are such an inspiration to me. I recall seeing/hearing Paul play at an organ convention (Pipes around the Pacific in Victoria, BC) and his hand movements in changing the stops were a symphony - never mind the fine music. What an inspiration he is.
It was an editing slip at 16:45. The person behind the camera was saying something to them which had their attention, probably trying to help Carol form a question or come back to to a topic. Paul wasn't drifting off.
P.S He seems a really nice man too. On the subject of being a night owl I heard that when he was practicing for his Messiaen CD late the vicar who had an apartment next door had to go round and tell him politely ro stop!
@@BellVideo Wonderful!! I've just placed an order for your Venus Toccata as well as your entire Tour Bus DVD series and Spreckels concert highlights! Really looking forward to it all!! 😍

Not heard of this gentleman until recently but he is a terrific organist with a phenomenal memory.
P.P.S Rather an odd moment about 15 minutes in where he seems to drift off momentarily and she taps him on the shoulder.
