The Rutles (/ˈrʌtəlz/) were a rock band that performed visual and aural pastiches and parodies of the Beatles. This originally fictional band, created by Eric Idle and Neil Innes for a sketch in Idle's mid-1970s BBC television comedy series Rutland Weekend Television, later toured and recorded, releasing two studio albums and garnering two UK chart hits. The band toured again from 2002 until Innes' death in 2019.

I remember this gig 😁
Met Neil around 2016, bloody terrific bloke, very knowledgeable musician with tons of stories to tell…
Really Enjoy the music of The Rutles, Neil Innes is such a great songwriter and performer along with Barry and Stig, and the members for this live show. Shame that Stig was absent. But such a Great show! Thanks for being able to watch this, wish I could've been there 😃
Glad you enjoyed this video Ron
Legends in their own lunchtime :)
"Far from home and far from talented..."
Thanks for uploading this. I had the great pleasure of playing with Neil on a number of occasions and was assisting in preperations for the reformation of the Bonzos when I received the shocking news. Such a lovely fella. RIP Neil Innes.
Long live rock..!!!!!!!! thank you
From Rutland T.V. brilliant. Had the pleasure of chatting with Neil, what a nice bloke. Cheers Stevee. Anyone connected with Rutles, Python can do no wrong.👏🏻👏🏻
Ouch!!! It’s the Pre Fab Four!!
I'm so happy this has been uploaded, I was there. None of my friends would come with me but I didn't care. Macca headlining the main stage afterwards was underwhelming, especially as he seemed to pander to the BBC audience. I could remember Barry's solo but not a lot else. Poignant and full of ❤
Ó, děkuji 👍
Just HOW that bloody band the Beatles get all the plaudits when they've obviously ripped this lot off is beyond me🤷♂️
Not to mention that bleeding band (of two brothers) who got sued in the mid 1990s for plagiarisim getting plaudits for whatever…
