Tommy Orange makes a striking literary début with his novel "There There", a polyphonic piece of writing which explores Native American identity in the 21st century. The author has drawn on his own experience as a member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribe to examine ideas related to place, colonial history and America's complex relationship with indigenous culture.
