Very interesting, my Male Harris Was fully parent reared, so I guess his calling on site of me is something Not to worry about, I was worried I had done something wrong, maybe I should say I’m honoured. I am watching weight every day , I try to get his weight as high as possible and still return, he is now eating more and maintaining weight returning well .
Although when I reach the upper weight he is slightly reluctant to return.
This has changed my life it’s full on flying every day.
    Thanks for sharing great channel.

I did everything my mentor said when I picked up my Harris Hawk (Zara's sister). She was an absolute lady.
She only started calling when the Kestrel arrived. Had to feed him at different times, and even though I'm sure I hid the food from her - she knew!
More manning was the answer for her (what's the point in having a hawk if you can't have a chat with her every now and then).
Also she's happier and fitter with a weight increase of about 5% ( which is less than I've put since I got her).
