I always thought those were the ruins of the Water Gap House hotel which sat up on that hill. Have you been down by the overlook just below this spot on rt. 611? That's where the Kittatinny Hotel once stood. Remnants of the two outdoor water fountains can be seen and the brick and stone kitchen ovens are still sitting there in the woods. Many people pull into the parking lot and look at the river not realizing the parking lot is where the hotel once stood. Head west into a woods just about 30 yards and you'll find the ovens and rock walls that made up the kitchen.

That place is ruins from The Water Gap House, you can find pictures online that shows a beautiful garden that surrounded the hotel as well, amazing area!

When you search Google Earth for the Antoine Dutot homestead the map marker is at the museum in town, but the linked image that pops up is identical to the ruins you identified as his home. I enjoy seeing you explorations. And you are like a kid in a candy store when you see new ruins 😊. Can't blame you, I react the same. I haven't been to PA since 2015. I wasn't able to explore much at the time as I was working 6 days a week. Can't wait to get back up there and explore some of these awesome sites. Great video as always!
ETA Love the Empress pattern Mercer Pottery! Not sure when that pattern was introduced but prior to 1873 most Mercer Pottery was plain white. So the plate probably dates to sometime between 1873 and the 1930s when Mercer went out of business.

Hi Cliff. Just viewed your tour of Dutotsburg...a nice look at the history of the area. There is another interesting ruin just east of the main ruins (towards the river & Rt 80) maybe a hundred yards away just before the drop-off to the Delaware River. Its rectangular in shape & appears to be of newer construction. The main trail from the parking lot splits a bit above where you went left. If you continue on the fire trail past the A-trail ( which goes left), the next right goes to a great overview. I believe it's called table top & has a neat barrens area with flat rocks & small dwarf pines. It's one of my favorite sites in the Water Gap area.

The ruins at 21:21 would make a great patio for a garden. It is just gorgeous. Looks like you had a beautiful day to hike and explore.

Very nice. Would take a lot of structures to make a town even back then.
Thank you. For a beautiful walk threw the woods.

The groundcover could have been Pachysandra
. We had a lot of it growing in back of our house years ago.

Love all that old stone. Such a gorgeous spot. I would be like you just wanting to take it all in not knowing which way to start. Would definitely be an amazing spot to live minus the traffic noise.Thank you for the interesting history and sharing all this beauty. Hope you get time to return. Would be very beautiful in the snow. :)

I'm glad you are doing what you're doing. I am from Lebanon, PA and have been to many places you're visiting. Since growing up in S/E PA I have been around the country and seen and lived in beautiful places but I still love good ol' Pennsylvania. Up in northern Minnesota now. Way different but similar in a lot of ways.

I've noticed, since you've been doing your tripod footage, that everything looks much larger when you walk towards them. Things look smaller when you're carrying the camera. I've seen this with your cave and tunnel videos too. Keep up the great work. You've definitely got me hooked on your channel!

The Mercer Pottery Company is a defunct American pottery company. The backstamp on many of its pottery pieces indicates it was founded in 1865 in Trenton

Another great video!!! Cool pottery find. There was a Mercer Pottery in Trenton, NJ that operated from 1868 until the 1930's. I bet those pieces were from that. They were probably from the hotels that sprang up in the Gap in the 1800's. You probably know this but there is an Antoine Dutot museum right in the town of Delaware Water Gap. Keep on exploring!!!
