Picking lots of spinach, curly kale, chard and lettuce leaves every few days at the moment, but this year have harvested potatoes, carrots, PSB, various Kales - (really enjoyed Kalette leaves as crisps at the weekends - baked with olive oil and salt), leeks, few onions/salad onions. Always inspired to improve by following you but really happy with the progress I am making. 😁Thanks Steve, Justine

What a great selection, we should give kalette leaves a try, we usually use curly kale, but we have more kalettes

I lay the kalettes leaves on a baking tray, wipe them into olive oil, sprinkle salt over. In oven 160 degrees for 10 mins. They are very delicate and crispy. If you crushed them they would be just like crispy seaweed you'd get in a takeaway. Delicious 😁

Lovely harvest! We are having some early heat which is dicey for my cool season veg but we shall see. My cabbage has headed up so I’ll take what I can get.

My cabbage is looking good too, hoping it will help bridge the gap between the early kale finishing and the early red cabbages and main crop kale arriving : All the best - Steve

Crikey, what a haul. As a newbie I didn't even consider you could yield this much at this time of year in Britain.

the challenge at this time of year is not harvesting too much, I've cut back a lot this year compared to previous years and I'm gradually trying to increase diversity, rather than volume : All the best - Steve

That is a really good selection of veg for this time of year, well done.
Our warm weather crops are just finishing (New Zealand ) so still processing Toms peppers, chillies, etc and have winter squash, sweet potatoes, onions etc in store. Sown root crops, brassicas, garlic and about to put 1st early spuds into tubs in greenhouse.
I'm a flower farmer so juggling autumn sown hardy annuals too! It's hectic!

Very interesting that you plant your potatoes in autumn, I don't tend to plant mine until February for an April harvest : All the best - Steve

@@SteveRichards we only get occasional mild frosts so I'm able to push the envelope a little - nothing ventured....last year they were in the ground under fleece and an overhanging tree and did well. Tubs in greenhouse this year to do a comparison. Warm regards.
