  • In Cambodia, approximately 30% of the population have no access to grid electricity and around two-thirds of households connected to grid electricity, experience frequent power shortages (The World Bank, 2018).
Without access to safe and reliable energy, education remains an ongoing challenge.
Last October, our team visited three rural schools to distribute solar lights with FCM Asia, cievents and Prek Toal, Moving Ahead.
Together, we hand delivered 450 solar lights to students at Chong Khneas Primary school, 450 lights to students in Tray Floating village and 100 lights to the students at Kampong Prahok Primary School.
Their solar lights allow them to study after dark and improve their educational and health outcomes.
We would like to thank FCM Asia, cievents and Prek Toal, Moving Ahead for making this possible.
