I agree it was a good memory for me when I got that set I ended up going to Legoland in Florida with my dad on one of my birthdays when I was younger and I basically just picked up every single police set there was at the time and that was one of them and I loved it
I think them being the first ones using a new scale for minifigs that totally broke with the 90s scale, and being the first ones of their theme really made those sets impressive even now by today's standards but especially for adults that grew up with them
2014 and 2011 really are the golden standard for regular police standard sets. But I admit that although gimmicky my faves still are the forest and especially the swamp police HQ, although they are not as pretty or complete as the ones above or even the 2007 one
the 2011 police station was, if i can remember correctly, my first big lego set. i sadly broke it in like 2017 and cannot find all the pieces to it, but just seeing the box to it makes me so nostalgic and brings back incredible memories
My personal favorite police station is the 2016 prison island one. Also, I think for their next gimmick police sub-theme, they should do a "train police" theme! It would be interesting to get an abandoned train station for the criminals' hideout and police freight train that would look similar to 60052 from 2014! And the sets would sell well too.
i absolutely loved the 2014 police station, i remember back then i wasnt able to get it cause i was like 5-7 but i always tried to recreate it with the blocks i had, right now i have the 2017 police station
I really like the use of the dark blue on the swamp police station, and the layout of the 2011 station is perfect. These videos are always very informative for me as at the moment I'm building a Space Police station. Your takes and opinions are very interesting
The 2011 police station was my first big set as a kid while the forrest police station was actually my 3rd or 4th big set I ever got I got that in 2013 for Christmas while the year before I got the 2012 hospital set which was an awesome gift as well. I am planning to go a bit back in time this Christmas with one of my gifts so I can't wait for my birthday and Christmas.
I do have the set from 2017 (number 8). I upgraded the interior a bit and the result is great. I added a safe, custom computer, cameras on the roof, a stand with guns etc. I love that there is much space inside the building so its upgradeable. One thing I dont like is the explosion feature, the part of the wall easily falls out, but overall its a great set.
The 2012 Police Station was the first police station I ever owned, and I also owned all the other police sets from that year, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. I agree with pretty much the entire list! I am surprised you put the Mountain Police HQ so high, that was a rather forgotten Police Subtheme.
It did for me! I wanted a nice police station for my grand kids, as the 70s stuff of my youth look a little dated ;) Subsequently I surveyed all police stations and decided on 7744, which also has a couple of great companions in truck 7743 and Helicopter 7741.
7:20 actually there was a helicopter, 7741 one. It perfectly stand on that helipad, and was gifted like "polybag" sometimes to this set. Have both of them, my first and last police station, remembering how I earned only good grades at school by one week so I can get it
I have 3-4 of these police stations. I got them all as birthday/christmas presents when I was pretty young. The 2014 police station is my absolute favorite. Unfortunately all of these police stations and almost all my other lego sets are taken apart and in random bins. I really regret doing this because now I am never going to be able to build them back without taking an absurd amount of time to find the one piece with that specific sticker on it. I would love to just buy these sets again but they are quite literally triple the price now.
Nice list. Great pick on Number 1. That was police station they used as HQ in LEGO City Undercover. Also the Forest Station was featured in the game as well as the Sheriff's station in the national park. It's cool seeing some of the other stations where vehicles were used in the game as well. 5:19 those three are the Chaser, Squaddie, and Barker.
I agree with you on most of these rankings, although I would definitely swap the forest police station and the prison Island. To me the forest police was more exciting and realistic looking
Nobody ever talks about this, but on the 2016 Prison Island set, you can break away the front set of bars on the upper cell with the hook from the criminals’ boat. Not really a big feature, but it’s just never talked about and idk why
I owned the 2008 and 2011 ones as a kid, definitely way better than the modern ones even with the nostalgia glasses off. The new ones feel too vacant to me
I think that after 2016 and 2017, Lego sets have lost much of its magic. I don’t personally like the look of sets that there is now rather than 2016 or 2017. The overall structure of builds has become less desirable for my liking, but I’m not sure if this is also what other people think
I had the air police base, a very interesting but poorly built site, the Lego bath didn't strive at all in 2019 to make it look like the world sets but. Basically a nice set for those who are passionate about police and planes, I was pretending that the big police plane is for passengers, that we don't have the 2022 police station at the time 😅😂, my cute, I liked the model, but I didn't really understand it, I had this set, but it looks like a building that I don't know, for small children, it seems to me that it can be useful, but it seems to improve something about it, the police station in 2020, a section that we wanted, perfectly resembled the one in 2017, it gives what times nostalgia for our past that was. My mother used to tell me, you've had it before, I look like something tea, I hadn't managed to fool her, even to this day, to give the forest police station a super tricky set that shows that the police are improving, I show how much it can matter when you work in the process of creating the 2017 police station ofIt was hard to get it, but after the deed and the reward, that's a saying in Romania 🇷🇴, I succeeded, I don't know why I destroyed 😓😭 the worst choice, the mountain police station, I wanted it, but I didn't manage to get it, I didn't have enough money to do it, I wanted that a set that I really want even today, the police station from 2005, the details are amazing, even tables are nice to have it look perfectly like a real-life set, back in 2005, when lego city sets were more attractive than now, all the sets now except those from 2024 are ewww 🤮🤢 boring, the police station from 2007, the coolest AMAZING TRICK SET I'VE SEEN those from lego or based on some amazing details, then you can see that it had more skilled designers, now they're all stupid 😡 and the police station from 2010 gives amazing details nam they say a lego set from my dream but I swear one day I'll buy it I need a little more time 😀😉.
Good to know my set was number 1 it’s…my favourite and the one I owned. I spent hours building it then got stuck on the toilet and me and dad built that section. He was so impressed at how far I’d gotten all on my 10 year old lone some
Words cannot describe how kid me was obcessed with the 2014 one, it was my main lego set and now it is pretty run down because of the extensive usage. Its police chief was the main character of my lego cinematic universe
Personally, I always thought of the 2011 set as a downgrade from the 2008 one. Nevertheless I liked it, and now like it even more compared to the modern sets
The forest and swamp police stations are really bizarre. Who commits crimes at a forest or swamp? Forest and swamp police stations don't exist in real life
Forest Police station disrespect will NOT be tolerated
Agreed
Hahaha agreed😂😂 i built mine back up in 2020. I loved it!
That was my 2nd Lego set, the first was also from the Forest Police set
I agree it was a good memory for me when I got that set I ended up going to Legoland in Florida with my dad on one of my birthdays when I was younger and I basically just picked up every single police set there was at the time and that was one of them and I loved it
I love that set
you really just cannot beat some of the old Lego city sets. I feel they put so much more work and thought into them!
I think them being the first ones using a new scale for minifigs that totally broke with the 90s scale, and being the first ones of their theme really made those sets impressive even now by today's standards but especially for adults that grew up with them
Prison island is my all time favorite set. I believe that there are better sets, but back before I had it, kid me was obsessed with it.
You can use it for other themes too. Prob would be easy to convert it to a lighthouse and it’d fit in nicely with a Batman or spiderman moc
Look how they massacred my boy in 2023, that police staion looks like something out of duplo
:/
the 2008 police station not being on number 1 is a crime
2014 and 2011 really are the golden standard for regular police standard sets. But I admit that although gimmicky my faves still are the forest and especially the swamp police HQ, although they are not as pretty or complete as the ones above or even the 2007 one
My favorite is 2011. The police station looks like in the lego city undercover game
Its the one they used for the outside
the 2011 police station was, if i can remember correctly, my first big lego set. i sadly broke it in like 2017 and cannot find all the pieces to it, but just seeing the box to it makes me so nostalgic and brings back incredible memories
Same, that along with the old fire station were my favorites but they both got destroyed :(
Was also my first big set! I even still have it on my shelf 13 years later 😅
My personal favorite police station is the 2016 prison island one. Also, I think for their next gimmick police sub-theme, they should do a "train police" theme! It would be interesting to get an abandoned train station for the criminals' hideout and police freight train that would look similar to 60052 from 2014! And the sets would sell well too.
i really wanted the 2014 one as a kid, also in that swamp police station it was such a shame the suv wouldn't fit under the office
i absolutely loved the 2014 police station, i remember back then i wasnt able to get it cause i was like 5-7 but i always tried to recreate it with the blocks i had, right now i have the 2017 police station

I also got that one
I kinda thought that the idea of "Forrest Police" was kinda odd. They probably could've just made it into a "Park Rangers" theme instead.
Ever heard of a Sheriff department?
The 2012 Police Station was the first police station I ever owned, and I also owned all the other police sets from that year, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. I agree with pretty much the entire list! I am surprised you put the Mountain Police HQ so high, that was a rather forgotten Police Subtheme.
The 2017 was good too
People who grew up with the 2017 one will definitely be nostalgic for it
@@SMCwasTaken I can vividly remember the day the 2017 police line up was revealed! The cars being 6 studs wide was such a big deal for me!
i can't believe 7744 didn't got the first place 😭

I like the nostalgia of getting the Lego catalogus or watching the Lego city videos and my mind goes like: I WANT THAT ONE!
Same. Same…….
I agree with you on most of these rankings, although I would definitely swap the forest police station and the prison Island. To me the forest police was more exciting and realistic looking
The 2011 and 12 stations are probably my favourites as those were the ones used in Lego City Undercover, one of my favourite Lego games.

Number 2 is my childhood 😁
The prison island (3rd place) was i think my first ever big boy set

The number 1 station is also the reference for the police station in Lego City Undercover
Owning the Police station of 2011 after he ranked it nr 1 makes me feel powerful
Words cannot describe how kid me was obcessed with the 2014 one, it was my main lego set and now it is pretty run down because of the extensive usage. Its police chief was the main character of my lego cinematic universe
Amazing video idea! Love this
Also, the one in number one is I'm pretty sure the most accurate (if not) the station from lego city undercover
i cant belive they made a new version of prison island
I have the 2020 one because I got it half off for just $50 before it retired!
The best ones for me (not in any particular order) are: 2014 2011 Prison Island and Mountain police
To me nothing beats the first three
How about the 2017 one
@@SMCwasTakenhelicopter looks bad
I loved the 2011 set so much bro
Forest and swamp police stations are the best!
2017 was the best because the office area is the biggest and the jail features are cool
2020 police station. Is the best
2017 police station is peak
La verdad decayeron mucho las estaciones de lego en especial el lego en general, ya la mayoria de legos son simples y re caros con pocas cosas.
Proud owner of the 8th one🙂
I never had a police station, the one with the bear got my attention. And I think the number 1
I never paid much attention to those sub-themes, but it is nice indeed!
Personally, I always thought of the 2011 set as a downgrade from the 2008 one. Nevertheless I liked it, and now like it even more compared to the modern sets
Where the 90s kits at?
This is just for the City theme which didn't start until 2005.
@BatFlightBuilds what you mean lego city has been going for ages!? I had police station 1998 as a kid
All the way to 1989
@@BrokeWeekends That is the Town theme not City.
@@BatFlightBuilds oh... my bad... 90s were the best tho
best LEGO police station is 100% the creator expert module one

LEGO just should make re-edition of 2011 Police station. Who agree 👇.
I still have the #1 set
IMO lego city peaked in 2013
The forest and swamp police stations are really bizarre. Who commits crimes at a forest or swamp? Forest and swamp police stations don't exist in real life
Notice how the newer City Police stations keep getting shittier...
I loved 2014
I own the 2017 one
Flex I have the number one😎😎
Yeah this is just a nostalgia bait, not a real ranking
Why is that?
@@BatFlightBuildsbecause 2008 is scienficially the best
