To each their own my friend. I followed no guides and got a character to level 75 with my own hybrid Grenade /Solar Orb Merc Gemling in 40 hours. And that's including reading all the dialouge and full clearing all maps during the campaign. Doing maps just fine now and also leveling alts with friends. I got my first Alt through cruel campaign in another 10 hours. But yes it's about knowledge and skill. There are games that are not for everyone. You say to make it more casual friendly, but they already did? I think the one thing they still need to add is a crafting quest, but other than that they did a great job refining what was great about poe1 into an easier to digest system with better combat. I think it's an amazing game where using a guide can help some people, but not everyone needs one.

I think guides will be a lot of help, for me who im not into that much research playing the game was a heinous crime XDDD. Maybe its skill issue but for me and most of the people that are new i feel like its gonna end poorly at least in early access
You're playing gacha games my guy, of course this level of complexity and depth in a video game will fry your brain :D There's one thing i can agree with you on and it's the fact that this game is certainly not for people who like to just turn off their brains, not read anything and chill :D It will not end poorly, it has more players in beta than PoE 1 has ever had by a large amount. It will only get bigger as the game gets more improvements and additions. Like many people already said, this game filters out certain types of players, and there's nothing wrong with that.

@ i have a friend with 11000 hrs on poe1. He gets high then he casually does tier 11 maps XDD. Its fun and games with 90 resistances
If he has 11k hours in PoE 1, he knows (or should know by that time) every single detail about this game, make a busted build himself and then run maps with one hand on his mouse and the other on his phallus. T11 is kinda low though, maybe he would be able to do T16s if he wasn't high. On the other hand, if you're playing this game with no armor, hp or resistances then you will think the game is the worst you've ever played, that's for sure :D

@ indeed i know i need resistances but im actually waiting for a guide for contagion ed with curse. I dont wanna watch hours of video to know what items i need. Until then im not touching it again. Sticking to my waifus
