  • Rocker arm sets for the 6.5 diesel and 6.2 diesel made before 10 Mar 15 may need modification. It seem the clearence is much to tight and the "keeper" under the bolt heads need to be shaved down a few thousandths or the spacer in the middle.
Harland Sharp is standing behind their products and will make it right by sending a new spacer. I did not have the time to wait so the video shows what I did to mod/fix the issue.

Remember, 1500 wet/dry paper on thick glass (as a backer), will work. If you know how.

Good video, thanks for the info. Do you still sell these rockers?

So Leroy, did you ever find out which mod worked best? Did trimming down a flat on the washer remedy the binding, or did you have-ta shorten the spacers?

Has this problem been resolved in production? Why would anyone want to have to mess with something that is basically a bolt on upgrade?

@@leroydiesel6.5 my bad Leroy. This is very tempting. I'm in the process of prepping a replacement engine for my 84 K30 but I'll need to evaluate its lower end before I make an investment like that. Btw, your glow plug removal tool worked great.

@LeroyDiesel hey Leroy my pushers seem hot be to short. I did what you did for clearance between rockers. They all move freely. Ivfe got two pushers bent. I didn't losen them up enough before I torqued them. So im wondering if I damaged lifters. I took one lifyrt out and checked it . seems to be good. Do I have to worry.?. The roller runs on the high side of the valve towards the inside of motor
      High on the valve stem.

Did filing the head gain you the clearance you needed to free up the rockers?
