This brought me back to a few years back when I studied abroad and visited Cinque Terre - we actually ate dinner at the EXACT same table as you guys did so that was so cool to see!
You just gotta love the weather in Italy. From sunny, to rainy, to sunny again. We live in Calabria. This past week has been crazy with the weather. Thanks for showing Cinque Terre. It is absolutely gorgeous. We are glad we found your channel. Ciao.
oh my god guys this looks so amazing!!! every shot you took looked like paradise!! glad the sun came out and it stopped raining for your last day and you sure made the most out of it the towns are so so pretty!! the colours and building narrow streets just beautiful!! brings back great memories from my trip to Italy! :D WOW that restaurant nesume dorma?? I unsure how to spell it sorry haha! it was stunning love how it looked over the village was so picturesque! great fo sunset amazing video guys!!!! :D
Thanks, We get that comment a lot about us not being "Awkward" like the name suggests. It was a nic-name Kelly picked up years ago, and we have gone with it ever since!
Great video and nice edit! I'll be going to Cinque Terre in 2 weeks so i hope the trail in Vernazza will be open by then lol. But keep up the good work!
Thank you! Yeah hopefully it will be open for you. From what we hear the trails close a lot, so if you are planning a big hike, be sure to check before hand.
Wow amazing video of Cinque Terre👏🏼👍🏼😍. By the way how many days did you see the 5 villages? Did you do it in one day or divide the 5 villages into two or three days activity?
So we stayed 3 nights in Riomaggiore. The first day we arrive late and only walked around town for about an hour before dark. The second day it rained all day long so we did not venture out much. The third and final day it was beautiful weather so we took the train to all 5 towns. It is totally doable to visit all 5 towns in one day, as the towns aren't very big, but we liked that we stayed a few more and were able to check out some more restaurants and things
@@TheAwkwardTourists Thank you for your reply. I have another question ? Do we have to pre booked restaurants? Does all the villages accept card payment? Or only cash. Is food expensive ? Thank you in advance for your reply x.
Is it recommended to visit all 5 towns or better to stay in where my Airbnb is? Planning to stay in Manarola. We will do Rome/ Florence and then Manarola, wasn’t sure how many days in Manarola. Any suggestions will be appreciated. :)
Depends on how much time you have. We stayed in Riomaggiore for three nights and spent one of the days taking the train to all the other towns. Each one has a different charm but we were kind of rushed seeing everything. Manorola is really beautiful
Doing 5 terre in one day is really a tour de force but … I understand it can be the occasion of a life for american tourists.. :-) My suggestion is to do Riomaggiore , Vernazza , Monterosso…
This is a great video! Thanks so much for sharing! We will be taking the train in from Florence for the day. What time of the day did you start out on your day trip? Trying to determine how many hours we will need approximately. TIA
Thanks! We stay in Riomaggiore and were able to visit all the towns in about 6 hours, So I would factor the train time from Florence to Riomaggiore and add on another 6 hours or so
This was pretty tricky. To my understanding you need to apply for two different licenses to fly in Cinque Terre. I filled out an application with The Cinque Terre National Park and ENAC (l'Ente Nazionale per l'Aviazione Civile). I applied for both, but I never heard back from my applications so I'm not actually sure If I was allowed to fly or not. I know in Major cities it is really difficult to fly as well as the rule is that you are not supposed to fly over people or buildings. Cinque Terre Itself is a national park, so that made things a little more complicated here as well
Lovely video! Did you have any issues flying your drone? Or did you have to get any permissions or register it before your went? Going next weekend and hoping to take my drone too
Flying drones in Cinque Terre isn't very easy. I had to apply for some permits through The Cinque Terre National Park to get permission. When I flew however, no one bothered me. I tried my best to be discreet though
Hi guys !!! Greertings from rodando con budha !! I went there before now I want to bring my wife ;-) , how is everything moving there now ? Is all opened ? Thank you much !! Pura vida !!
We did all of the towns in one day, It was a lot but it is doable. Our Favorites were Riomaggiore, Manarola, and Vernazza, So I would plan to spend more time there if you can, but each town has it's own charm, just beware of the hike to Corneglia!

I left my heart in the Cinque Terre too. So beautiful and you were so lucky to see it whilst it was pretty quiet. Love the pink earrings 💕
We really lucked out with the timing. There was hardly anyone there
I VISITED HERE 5 YEARS AGO AND COULD NOT FIND THE NAMES! Thank you so much they are so beautiful.
So lovely and wonderfull places tout are so lucky guys.
The Cinque Terre is one of Abby's favorite areas!💜
We can see why, We loved it there!
Great video, love your style!
Will be there whilst honey mooning in Tuscany next week. Can't wait and cheers for the info.
Thats' awesome! Have a great trip!

No way! That's awesome. That restaurant was really good! Glad we could take you on a trip down memory lane!
This place reminds me of that new upcoming Disney movie, Luca.
It was based in Cinque Terre!

Kelly's great grandparents were from Calabria! We haven't visited there yet, but we would love to in the future.

Thanks so much. This area of Italy sure is beautiful!
Beautiful towns in Cinque Terre. Thanks for the video!
Our pleasure!
I've been to Italy a couple of times but never went to Cinque Terre and now I am dying to go. Great Video. Very informative, thank you!
Thanks so much, It was on our bucketlist for a while!
Wonderful
Beautiful area, full of bloopers ;)
haha, Gotta love those bloopers
Hello guys - what a fab video. Can I ask if you know the fastest way to get to Cinque Terre region via train from Milan Central?
We took the train Milan to Genoa, and then another train down the coast
We were there for 4 nights exactly 3 years ago so feeling very nostalgic. Had to laugh at you making friends with the cats - I did that too!
Kelly makes friends with Cats no matter where we go!
Great info in this, and your other Italian vids, thank you much appreciated for an upcoming tip :)
Glad it was helpful! Have a great trip!
Such a beautiful place. Thanks for the virtual tour
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a wonderful place, amazing video, when you guys go to Venice, try to get a close up on the way back at the Lake Como, it's a beautiful place
We drove through lake Como a few years ago, but unfortunately we aren't going to make it this trip
Was just about to call it a night but not now..love the video
Thanks for watching!
Living the dream through you guys.
Thanks for following along! We appreciate the support!
I loved the cat bloopers! Really enjoyed the commentary as well, it was informative. Don't see anything 'awkward' with this 😅😊
Thanks, We get that comment a lot about us not being "Awkward" like the name suggests. It was a nic-name Kelly picked up years ago, and we have gone with it ever since!
Great vlog as always guys. Will definitely be visiting here in the future. 🇮🇹❤️
Thank so much!

@@TheAwkwardTourists thank you for the kind wishes! Do you happen to know if there is information online to check whether the trail is open or not?
Bello 🎉
Thanks for the info. I did not know it was a train that goes to each town . I will be there this coming June !♥️☀️✈️🌊
Have fun! It is really convenient to take the train, the roads are really nuts there and parking is near impossible.
Phong cảnh đất nước đẹp.
Great video. You said you were going to be going to Venice? Taking a ride in a gondola i hear is very romantic
Yes we will be in Venice in a couple more videos. Headed to Florence first!
Can you tell us what the name of the restaurant with the view is? The one with the music on the blooper.
It's called Nessun Dorma. We put a link to the website in the description of this video for you

We ll have 1 night only at Manarola. So we only have time to discover only one another town, which town do you recommend me to visit?
Tough choice, but I would definitely spend a lot of time in Manarola getting lost in the little streets and head to either Riomaggiore of Vernazza
What season was there and what was the weather like ?
We were there in May and the weather was really nice, Warm but not too hot
So if I’m coming from Rome, is Manarola the best town to go to for that famous cinque terre touristy photo look?
Each one of the downs has some really nice views. Manarola, Vernazza and Riomaggiore were our favorites

Everything seemed to operate as normal, except you still had to wear masks everywhere
How many days in Cinque terre?
We only did one day exploring the 5 cities, but I would recommend 3!
I love your vlogs-do you guys do a patreon account??
