The inescapable irony of this video is that if the opponents didn't start with a Leviathan, you may not have made it out alive. He was secretly a sleeper agent of yours. Love your videos dude, thank you for keeping the golden era of magic alive with content.
Thanks Tim! Are we gonna get a season 3? Since your a Shandalar expert now, I think you should do a challenge run next. Play single color only, when you defeat a castle you have to change your deck color to th castle color that was defeated. Play 5 color against the end boss!
I remember playing this game though with each color. For green i focused on whirling dervish, basilisk (for defense), elven riders, and gaea’s lieges. 4 Giant growths were also a must.
In the blue castle when you're dueling either Pegasuses or Paladins, it's actually better when they do untap the Leviathan. Neither deck is rocking that many Islands and the likelihood of them getting to four is really, really low. On average it'll cut their mana base almost, if not, in half and screw them out of their blue strategy. Unless they endgame run the Hack, LOL. And when defeating the blue wizard I suggest always taking Psionic Blast, as it has the highest resale value in the game. Great runs, BTW!
Not sure if you’ve talked about it before, but your comment on the village being attacked by sea dragon being so far away; are you aware of the function of the white amulets?
I'm not sure if you're interested in a new season of Shandalar because I don't know how well these series do on your channel, but if you are, I have a couple of suggestions that could make your life easier (and more interesting for your followers).
Leviathan might be ok to use with land tax and fastbond because when you sacrifice the islands you will more then likely have less lands then your opponent. Then with fastbond you could play them all out. That's about the only way in old school I can think of to make it work.
I used to play a blue control deck with Leviathan. Untap with Saddlebags and keep as a blocker until you’re all set-up to attack in two turns unblocked. Jump and Flight (great for defense too), Invisibility and Flood were main spells plus Counterspells of course. Loved that deck!
I don't know why but I laugh my ass off when you do the grandiose wizard voice "do you dare enter my castle?!" and then think about it for a moment and calmly reply ".... yes" all matter-of-fact about it
Ah, damn, wish you'd had the luxury of keeping around the blue castle and farming Elementalists/Mindstealers so you could duplicate all your best cards. Alas, the Visionary forced your hand.

Love watching these on Sunday

RIGHT?! Like, the AI just couldn't help itself! If they had just played around it like it didn't even exist...
Right on time ❤
Perfect dog 🐕 walking material 👌
@ exactly 😂

Good idea
Great idea, but I first need to defeat the green castle and see how I do against the big boss. I am going back to mono green :D
Great episode!!!! Congratulations!!!! Ty
🎉
Your layout is perfect by the way most shandilar videos you cant watch on full screen ❤

“Scared of Leviathan” - you should be!
Computer also playing Cosmic Horror! Right up a Timmy Power Gamer’s alley 😂
He’s huge man! 😂
If you're getting free spells you won't use get expensive ones for the gold. Timewalk etc.

Probably play 50 card deck when siding in red or blue elemental blast to be sure you get one in opening hand
No Kird Apes to go with the 3 taiga’s? Classic fist turn R/G combo
I only have 1 ape 😱
LUCK!! I send you the Luck 😜
🙌

Yes, I am (learnt that in season 1), but I'm running out of White Amulets 😱
Notorious problem, I know..! Only solves when you run into someone selling them for 200 gold each.. it’s worth saving up for 😄
Great run, but I thought you would not play with the off color moxen? Maybe I am mistaken. Will you try the Green castle with a mono green list?
Yes, I'll be back on Mono Green for the last castle. Maybe I did, but I was in desperation mode 😂 The red really helped me.

I’ll def make a season 3 it’s way too much fun 😂, but first I have to finish this one 🫣
The wizards were getting scared you lost 4 mana taps in 10 mins on the overworld
💪

Another strategy that I like is saccing the Leviathan to Sword of the Ages. Unfortunately it’s not in the game.

I think the castles don´t have life loss carried over. Ii´t only in dungeons.
You're right, although the game tells me that life loss carries over in the castles 🤷♂️
@TimmytheSorcerer Well I remember some cases also where life gain was not carried over its wierd...

Yeah black kicked your ass last week. Better luck this time!

Wise men give secrets about dungeons. Creatures under duress give info about castles. Creatures are liars.
The blue castle layout was dogwater you should have rerolled it once you saw the 10 winged stallions lol
I can’t do that, feels like cheating 😅
