This is a severely underrated animation. It depicts the difficult decisions that a King such as Boabdil had to make, especially considering that his people and city likely would have been butchered if they had resisted in a drawn out siege, which I believe is why the children wer epresent at the start.
Wow, I was just writing a paper on iberian peninsula yesterday and this came to my feed. Appreaciate the dedication to put this beautiful work out there. Expecting more animations of this topic. Great work!
Thank you, I've been there right before covid strikes. It is my favourite travel destination. Thanks for the short animation, it brings back melancholic memory and longing for Granada. Love from Malaysia.
A very beautiful film Pepe, its true that war often takes its hardest toll on the weakest, I have to agree with John O'Groats idea at the difficulty and complexity of the decision that Boabdil had to make, who knows how much of beautiful Granada would be standing now if he had chosen otherwise, or how many lives it would have consumed. Really loved the short film, wonderful story-telling... so simple yet so effective. Greetings from Ireland.

You are correct! There are some inaccuracies in the film, the idea was to present the emotional conflict of the moment, more than a historical recap of it, and hopefully invite people to do their own research on the topic
Hello! The focus of this film was to give a general idea of the surender of the city of Granada. My goal was to portray the struggle of a man who had to make a very difficult decision in pivotal moment of history. There are many historical elements that had to be left out, both on the the build up to this moment, and the consequences of it, given the 4 minutes runtime of the assigment. Hopefully, the film would invite some people to read and learn more about the history of Boabdil and the Kingdom of Granada
