Exactly. First person is to envision yourself in the role and third person is to play as an existing character you recognize. Indiana Jones is an iconic character and now players won’t see his hat, coat, satchel, or whip. Such a ginormous creative oversight by the developers.
We already had like 3 third person Indy games. It's not a bad thing to do something different for a change. We would only have point & click Indy adventures if that was the case.

If this game is half as good as The Emperor's Tomb, then this game is gonna be lit!
This game will look better graphic-wise but it won't be better than ET. I have great memories of that game but if I played it today I doubt it would live up to the memories.
And on Steam it's probably not even gonna work because they don't care if it works or not. You either figure it out on your own or ask for refund. And you got 2 hours or 2 weeks to do it.

I grew up playing The Emperor's Tomb, such a brilliant, fun game, and still holds up pretty well today! Been waiting for another good Indy game for over 2 decades now, I hope this is it.
Troy Baker is a gem of a voice actor.
He is, but his Harrison Ford impression here is pretty bad. There are _so_ many people (including the guy who actually played young version of Harrison Ford's character in a film) that would've made a much better job.

My introduction to Indiana Jones was Raiders when it was first released on VHS in the early 80's, and I've been a huge fan ever since. So excited for this game.
Feels more authentic and respectful to Indiana Jones than Dial of Destiny ever was.

@@BOOGERking007MachineGames comes from the original studio which made the Riddick and Darkness games. The same lead designer is working on Indy. fir example the whip mechanic is like the tentacles mechanic from Darkness. it ll he a good game.

A great circle refers specifically to a geometrical property of the largest possible circle that can be drawn on any sphere. Essentially, it always has to be a circle that divides the sphere into 2 identical halves. It is a very specific type of big circle.

Troy has done a great job with the voice, but it could do with being a bit deeper, just a touch. An easy fix for the sound dept.

The pure excitement that filled me up with joy left as soon as I noticed it was on Xbox and PC, I absolutely love Indy but I’m seriously hoping it also comes out on PS5.

I know the game should have been in third person, but I'm glad it's in first person. Nothing will make me happier than being the person who was my idol as a child.
As a 90's kid, film enthuse I approve of this! looks epic I think they caught the essence of "Indie" and Harrison Ford here along with the characteristics or signatures of the Indiana Jones film series which is action, humor, romance, danger, travel, mystique, doom, triumph and more I think they knew exactly how to do this whilst designing the game because this looks absolutely amazing thus far! great job guys!

As a HUGE Indy fan who grew up on the OG movies, this looks awesome so far! The music, Indys voice is very spot on (Great job Troy Baker!

@@hada__02 all of that is fictional but German soldiers were REAL and they had an arsenal of REAL guns.
@@machination2166 Yes. And that arsenal included weapons captured from the enemy, a common practice in any war ever. Weapon types that were not employed by one's own army, like shotguns for the Wehrmacht, were a particularly sought-after war trophy.
@@swagromancer while that may be true, I still think it's a bit a odd for them to simply have these weapons without any explanation, like explicitly showing them picking them up from fallen allied soldiers at some point.
Also, sure, the shotguns might be picked up as collectors items but to actually use them while deployed seems far fetched given that they probably didn't have consistent ammunition supplies, only whatever they might happen to pick up.
@@machination2166 They still used them when they got them. Same with the M1 Carbine, for example, another highly prized trophy weapon. Allied soldiers did the same with German weapons. When they ran out of ammo, they could always go back to standard ordnance.
This is just a showcase. I think expecting a full backstory for a random soldier using a non-standard weapon is maybe a bit much?
They should’ve made this script into a movie.

Before I get all excited. Is this his game or Gina's? I would hate to see him take a back seat in his own game like in his last disney dial movie.
Doubtful, it's more like a nod to the fact he's always had a female companion.
Here is the franchise to bless us with every 5 years. Enough time to write a good story and build on the engine between while we enjoy. Hope this is as good as it looks

its the character models they look i lil outdated around the face but the shaders and enviroment are modern

People forget that these developers also made The Riddick & The Darkness games. Looks like they are going back to there roots. Masters of there craft. They know how to make insanely immersive first person games. Can't wait to see what they craft this time!

@@BigMicahC sure but in WWII it would have been far more likely for them to have an M1 Carbine, an M1 Garand, a Thompson, the amount of M1897s would have been astronomically low, that German got so lucky with a find like that. Not to mention the other two didn’t have MP40s so the likelyhood of this happening during the 1940s when the war was going on is even more unlikely. Looked like MP18s from WW1 (Late 1930s)

This looks great, but why is the German soldier carrying a Russian PPSH?
While it looks strange, the Germans did in fact use captured PPSh-41s. During the German-Soviet War going on during 1941-1945, Berlin put forth a program to take captured PPSh-41s and convert them to use the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge that was standard for the Germans at the time. They also used 32-round box magazines rather than the drum magazine you're probably used to seeing with the weapon.
However, unconverted captured PPSh-41s used the 7.63x25mm Mauser ammunition, and some modified versions used the magazines that were used with MP40s.
Sorry for the history lesson, but I hope this helps.

Love that the battleship on the mountain mirrors the submarine in the jungle from Uncharted. With Uncharted of course having been inspired by Indiana Jones in the first place. And both series now featuring Troy Baker! Looking forward to playing this ☺
