I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. I'm looking at NVIDIA and other AI stocks that have the potential to power and transform future technologies. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies
Well all i know is that you cannot go wrong taking profit at near high. No one ever went broke taking a ~20% profit. It's best if you consult with a fiduciary advisor in situations like this so you can make informed decisions.
That's a great analogy and I love the insight. Professionals could make a really big difference in investing, and I think everyone should have one. There are aspects of market trend that is difficult for the untrained eyes to see.

Guys, just think about it. This so called business school doesn’t have any past record. Look what happed to the so called better than IIM B School from Gurgaon.
Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 and first half of this year with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

The comparison of 1 crore salary in India and 150k in USA is total crap. On 1 cr salary You will pay roughly 32-34 lacs of taxes and will be left with 65+ lacs of post tax income. Even if you live lavishly you will still be able to save more 70% + of it. and still be near friends and family. However 150k in places like california will give you a very average lifestyle with almost no savings.
Akshat has tried to paint a rosy picture to support his argument by comparing the best combination of US (good salary and low expense city) with that of India. I know its possible but can it be replicated by everyone. The answer is NO !
A Staff Engineer in india gets 1Cr to 2cr salary while in usa is 250k to 550k its not equivalent to 150k ....

I am in a startup, had an opportunity to have ESOPs but politics and greed of stakeholders created a barrier in having those. I know for a fact that a person whose husband is working in Nvidia, and has become millionaire as he worked there for 10 years now. So yes, go to gold standard companies if you want to go to millionaire fast lane!
