You could also notice the very obvious difference between the chaps or the vachetta that holds the handles. The old version around 2003 would have stitches on the chaps above the rivet and it is very flat. The new speedy have puffy chaps and stitches around the rivet.

Great video and comparison, nice to know none of the details change from year to year. I also love the “sag” it gives the Speedy character.
It bothers me on the newer models the flowers aren’t perfectly symmetrical on either side of the zipper. On the older models they’re all perfectly symmetrical

Thank you for wanting my opinion! My favorite is the Classic Speedy in the size 30. The size 25 Classic looks too small on me. I like the "slouch" of the Classic in the 30 size. The one I take with me though on any trip has been the Speedy Bandouliere in the size 30 because it is SO SO SO useful; never heavy, never a bother, squishy & comfortable against my body, and hold everything while being able to be slung across my body if I need to with lots of bags, luggage, shopping bags..etc... So basically I LOVE the size 30 (I am 5'6" in height and 148 pounds) and I need BOTH the Classic for everyday use to look chic and yet youthful, and then the Bandouliere for travel. In both, I always do the monogram due to the very comfortable Vachetta straps and handles, whereas the Damier Ebene handles and straps have always hurt my skin due to these being treated and plastic-hard. Which are you leaning towards and in which size and print? I'm so excited for you!!

We have exactly the same 2003 speedy. I bought mine w/ dustbag ,box and key. But I doubt it’s authenticity. Bcoz the code engraving is shallow. The tab beneath the pocket flap is thin & elongated, letterings is smal and shallow. I’m confused & wonder how can o get this bag authenticated??

Remember those speedy murakami bags that were white and multicolored monogram? They had these little outside pockets. I always thought that was a feature on other speedys, but I've never seen it. I have no idea what would go in that pocket these days, but this video just made me wonder about that design choice. Both beautiful bags!
