What everyone is overlooking when they talk about "doing it the right way" which they are basically implying is that most of your NIL money should be spent on retention vs acquisition - Day and Franklin are 6th and 11th seasons respectively. They had players on their roster that they recruited 3-4 years ago that they were able to retain with NIL. Lanning is entering his 4th year, while his 1st year of recruiting was salvaging a class from the previous staff. Once he gets into his 5th & 6th year recruiting in his program, with his players, we will see how the balance shifts from acquisition to retention. Just because he is embarking on his first time coaching journey right in the middle of NIL taking off, he is being judged/critiqued differently than guys who have had 1-2 (almost 3) FULL recruiting cycles of freshmen turned juniors/seniors who they were able to keep in the program and develop over time.
Imagine that, the USC guy (mind you, the oldest of the bunch which speaks to USC's current relevancy) bringing up NIL as his primary talking point when discussing Ohio State's championship. Also says it gets overlooked or not talked about enough? What? I think I heard $20M roster like 20 million times this year... And the look on the rest of the Squad's faces when he was talking 🤣
the usc guy is right. Other big ten schools pay attention to your recruits. Osu offers a kid then oregon immediately offers them as if they have the same board it’s hilarious their strategy. osu players would die for each other tho and oregon players just want that bag that’s what he’s trying to say and he’s 100% right
So far as I've seen things all the regular B1G guys are respectable and all the old PAC12 guys just seem ready to gang up on Oregon and Spencer. Gets pretty annoying how petty those guys can be
Marc Kulkin is not a bright individual. He is the shining example of the pompous, I’m better than you attitude in which USC exudes that makes kids and fans of the other teams laugh at them. Cry On Mark
Spencer wins. Don't mess
Marc the USC man why did USC in 23 & 24 sign 28 in the portal Oregon brought in 23
In the same period.

Okay, listened a little bit longer. Marc is unhinged making crazy accusations. No wonder he is rarely on here - insufferable.
