3.6 was STRUGGLING to hit 100. I know the northstar had its problems but it was a bad ass engine, especially in supercharged form! With slight modifications the sts-v will blow the doors off of modern cars that are considred fast. I saw one absolutely destroy a Scat Pack challenger. Dude was 100% certain the caddy didnt have what it took. My guy had maybe $1500. Like a smaller pulley and an intake im fairly certain was all he had done. Anyways, that was AWESOME to see! Old caddy FTW!
The northstars in these don’t have any problems. 2004 and onwards the head studs and gaskets were revised. I have a CAI/exhaust/tune setup on my ‘07, hauls pretty good and hasn’t given me issues since I bought the car at 64k miles, currently sitting at 197k. They’re some of the best older caddies you can buy.
Sure the 3.6 is struggling to hit 100 MPH on the STS. But it is still faster than a Twingo. ^^
I can't say the same mine doesn't seem to struggle. In fact it's faster than most cars on the streets
@@QMarais95actually I own this car it doesn't struggle he let go of the gas like the rest did at 100 I've done 145 no problem in it it's just hard to hear it at that speed cause it's quiet

That Northstar sounded so good. Its too damn bad GM could not make it reliable. They had such an awesome engine that was ahead of its time but typical GM screws it up as usual
2008~2011 v6 302hp , is not 254hp

I hate how they say it's struggles to get to 100 cause it's obvious everyone of them let go of the gas at 100 and I've done 145 in mine no problem I have the v6 too and it's fast for a 3.6
@众𠈌BRĪÅN𠈌众 I drove my the same. The only problem I had on my regular sensors that needs to be replaced which it's normal because is a 18 year old car and needs new timing gasket which it maybe a new timing chain too. But other than that the car it's strong

😂😂😂😂 valuewise they are not what european or japenese cars can you get to compwte with an american car when it comes to power for dollar??? 😅😅😅 i live in germany abd most people here buy the smallest engine because the bigger ones are too expenisv so you see alot of E220 Mercedes here with only about 200 hp for 70k or people buy volkswagen Polos with 80 hp 😂😂😂 its a joke
