People are hating on him because his ego is huge. Confidence is one thing but he is unprofessional. He was pulled up by officials in the group stage for taking trash talking way too far and calling his opponents inappropriate things. No one is saying Donk isn't talented but at the end of the day, this is a job and a level of respect and professionalism is required.

@emilf7150 it allows teams like spirit to rely on one player more than any other period in cs. It's the same with BO1, it let's these teams with bad players have multiple lucky plays and win the game. If it was full maps classic mmr, spirit would've been out a long time ago. They quite literally rely on donk and that's it. Sunpayus out awped them every round. Spirit will fall because mediocre skill with good teamwork centered around a God tier player has failed multiple times. S1mple, zywoo, yekindar, get_right. It's shown time and time again that one talented fragger only gets you so far. Plus their attitude towards the competitive scene is just sad, magixx either doesn't know what he's saying in english or is the most braindead robot I've ever seen. Seems like they have no respect for other teams, players, or the tournaments. For example all sh1ro has to say about playing on a 750k first place stage is, "it's just cs, doesn't matter", I'd say a stage in front of hundreds of thousands is a little different than sitting at home playing online.
Overall people laugh but mmr12 and bo1s are pretty bad and team spirits attitude is pretty garbage, as memey as b1ades interview is, he's right. Donk, sh1ro, magixx, all have terrible attitudes and it'll honestly make zero players respect them. Give it 6 months and spirit will be getting knocked out of groups.
@DatCheeseCake I don't know what you're talking about because Spirit players are not bad. They're not relying on donk to carry every single round. He had an exceptional T1 debut and has been tearing up T2 for a while, that doesn't mean he singlehandedly wins games against T1 teams. Their teamwork is good, they have used excellent anti-strats and it was quite difficult for their opponenrs in Katowice to prepare against playing them because of the highly limited T1 demo material with this roster. The state of CS is fine, and MR12 was an incredibly good choice both for the health of the casual game and competitive scene.
