Full-time marketer here and blogger of 4 years (in travel outdoors niche) but your blog can be profitable! I would offer affiliate products related to gardening products and anything related to homesteading and I would then try to monetize with display ads once you hit enough traffic as you build up your Pinterest. Blogs are successful and monetize-able when it comes to how good someone markets it.
Gabrielle it was interesting to reread that comment after a year! We now have ads with Ezoic, lots of Pinterest traffic, and are slowly growing on RUclips. So yes, a year makes a big difference!

They are quite strict about what you can and can't advice related to public health). policy.pinterest.com/en/community-guidelines Check here the section about Misinformation and don't try to promote any drugs for mental health (Pinterest ads definitely will be rejected) - organically you can work in this niche but again be really careful with the choice of topics.

Hi there! Personally, I would just focus on one language (English) so that it won't throw off any of your audience. Because in case an English speaker visits your account and sees that you have an article that is in another language, they might get the impression that that is the language you only publish. I would suggest to try and see the results tho :)
There are quite a number of education-related bloggers out there. And since it is not a saturated niche, you will have less competitors and higher chances of ranking. Though you will have to be patient in getting traffic because it does not have that much big of an audience as lifestyle blogs, etc. But i still urge you to go for it! :)

I'm not sure what you mean by an opening page. Your homepage is typically static but it should have in the menu the links to main categories and probably most recent posts or most popular posts.

If you want to have 10 different pin images, you are already doing a good thing - Pinterest likes a lot of fresh content. But you have to make sure you don't save them all in one day and to multiple boards! You can experiment with pin titles and use different keywords for them, Pinterest doesn't penalize for this - if you are doing it to show your pin from a different perspective and it's not used to deceive users then it can be only good and not a bad practice!

Go for it! Lifestyle niche works really well on Pinterest though you really have to work harder than others because it is a saturated niche. Just keep on creating content and market your blog effectively, and you'll do great :)

This was a great video. I want to start a blog/ podcast called “Through the Eyes of” where I talk about life, politics and global issues through the perspective of different people from all around the world including myself. I want to showcase people’s cultures through food by having a global kitchen corner but mainly focus on highlighting various cultures and perspectives and trying to find commonalities in order to showcase to the world that there is not much difference between us. I want to also discuss current issues sort of as a commentary through my eyes as an immigrant, a college student and a West Indian and do the same for other underrepresented people. I’m not sure what niche that is or whether it’s a good idea but I’ll dwell on it a bit more. Let me know what you think!

Hi Jeni! For Pinterest traffic the CPC and competition doesn't matter. For Google SEO if your blog is new, it's best to target keywords with medium or low competition.

I actually just made a random blog account using the free account with wordpress as a space to experiment and basically rant, however I do like posting food of what I eat in restaurants in my IG so I'm wondering if I should mix start making blogs for the IG acc, although at the moment I don't think I would be making my blog site to a paid site (broke unemployed student who is still job hunting and all, so I actually don't post that much about restaurants or go out coz covid-19 lol)
Go for it! You can just build your blog and content for now and if you do have enough budget, you can then move your site to a self-hosted one and monetize :)

Go for it! Lifestyle niche works really well on Pinterest though you really have to work harder than others because it is a saturated niche. Just keep on creating content and market your blog effectively, and you'll do great :)

I don't know what you mean by a personal blog... are you writing in it about your everyday life? In this case it will be very hard to monetize it - you need to write about things that solve the problems of your audience or answer their questions.

I’m an Indian, and want to start a food blog, but I’m confused whether to have a niche in food blog coz I’m not just going to post recipes from Indian cuisine. I cook globally inspired recipes, mostly healthier ones (not always though). This includes American, Arabic, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, and Indian of course. But I’m scared whether this will ruin targeting an audience as it’s not a cuisine specific . I’m confused whether to niche down to just one cuisine, or to go with posting globally inspired healthier recipes itself. I think I won’t be even starting a blog if it’s with just one cuisine, coz I cook Indian only in the weekends 🤓
Hi there! That sounds good! If you have a lot of articles you can think about with those topic than a super niched one, then I suggest you go for it! You can use subcategories on your blog as well per cuisine :)

This was a great video. I want to start a blog/ podcast called “Through the Eyes of” where I talk about life, politics and global issues through the perspective of different people from all around the world including myself. I want to showcase people’s cultures through food by having a global kitchen corner but mainly focus on highlighting various cultures and perspectives and trying to find commonalities in order to showcase to the world that there is not much difference between us. I want to also discuss current issues sort of as a commentary through my eyes as an immigrant, a college student and a West Indian and do the same for other underrepresented people. I’m not sure what niche that is or whether it’s a good idea but I’ll dwell on it a bit more. Let me know what you think!

Hi Jeni! For Pinterest traffic the CPC and competition doesn't matter. For Google SEO if your blog is new, it's best to target keywords with medium or low competition.

What about competition
I actually just made a random blog account using the free account with wordpress as a space to experiment and basically rant, however I do like posting food of what I eat in restaurants in my IG so I'm wondering if I should mix start making blogs for the IG acc, although at the moment I don't think I would be making my blog site to a paid site (broke unemployed student who is still job hunting and all, so I actually don't post that much about restaurants or go out coz covid-19 lol)
Go for it! You can just build your blog and content for now and if you do have enough budget, you can then move your site to a self-hosted one and monetize :)
Anastasia I've just decided to start a blog and I really love your advice! Now I am rethinking how to monetize my idea. (My husband and I purchased an old home for 10K and we restored it ourselves. We saved a ton of money doing most of the work ourselves and we were really handy in upcycling a lot of our furniture. I also want to blog about how I saved a lot of money decorating it). Maybe too narrow? Why not make it for millennial men dating and men’s lifestyle /self improvement in general. Then you won’t run out of things to write about. You can also look into getting affiliate marketing for products geared towards young men such as colognes, facial cleansing, and shaving products, Manscaped, etc.

It will be hard if you don't stay consistent with your pinning strategy. If you have nice and beautifully made pins, then your pins will be noticed immediately since tons of users on Pinterest search for health&fitness related pins
