Genius Invokation TCG is so funny because sometimes there’s this implication that its like THE card game in that world, like if you’re playing cards you’re playing that, like how people will play Uno or any of those games you play with a basic deck of cards like Old Maid. Just this really accessible game that’s more portable than a board game. But its also a big yugioh reference and yugioh is like… SO much more complicated and not all that accessible in comparison lol.
I kinda like it for that exact reason. I grew up with Yu-gi-oh! but never got into it as a card game because it was so complex, so TCG in Genshin makes me super happy because it has the hype and excitement of YGO but is far more accessible (and less stressful in its stakes lolol, like nobody’s getting sent to the Shadow Realm here (so far)).
