I installed a wheel today on my Supra and it would not have been possible without your video. Thanks for making this video, it really helped me today bro.
You are more than welcome my brother
Excellent! I’ve got one of these wheels on order right now and was wondering about the wiring. You da man!
Glad I could help brother
Thank you for the video sir! Does the OBD dongle drain the battery or make the alarm go off when the vehicle is locked?
Hey no not at all it’s totally fine
You’re amazing man, keep doing what you do
Thanks mate, i really appreciate that, god bless
hey buddy thank you so much for the video i have a quick question where did you connect the blue wire too? thank you
Hey Stevie, if you use the red wire like I did you don’t need to use the blue one 👌🏼
Thank you buddy
Love the video man been wanting to put one on my A91 edition Supra
No worries bro. Hope it helped
I plan to get it on my Launch Edition Supra
I want to see how you slice the wire and how you connect them.
Hey brother, just use a sharp Stanley knife blade (be careful they are sharp) and peel back some of the insulation on the factory wire.
Once your opened it up to see the bar wire, separate some of it to make a hole.
Put the wire from the steering wheel through it and twist it round to secure in place, then add a tiny bit of solder
Cover with heat wrap or electrical tape
Where did you run the ground wire to? Thanks!
Hey brother. The ground wire gets run to the ground for the steering wheel vibration unit. As you dismantle the wheel, it's bottom left of the motor unit 🤟
Does this still work with JB4 plugged in
Does JB4 plug into your OB2?
Where does the blue cable go?
Hey bro, if you use the red wire to the 12v live you don't need to use the blue one. The blue is to make up the current if you use the horn switch because it doesn't flow enough zap zaps
Hey buddy I installed one of these on my car and I had a bunch of malfunction problems is that a problem you had with yours
what errors did you get mate?
@@Simonstockton82when I'm driving or say drivetrain error and the car will turn off I have to wait for 30 to 40 minutes before I started and then I'll start back up again with no problem but sometimes that occurs and sometimes it doesn't now when I put it on the scanner when the first happens it says there's no communication my transmission thing turns off the actual light on it when I wait for a little while I'll start back up again but it can do it again now I've noticed when I plug unplug it it doesn't do that I was wondering if mine is the only one or maybe I've plugged something wrong or something I'm just trying to get to the bottom of it that's all
no i havent seen that mate. you shouldnt have drive train and gear box problems from a steering wheel change. if anything it would be air bag errors
@@Simonstockton82 I really appreciate it because my car was in the accident and they're trying to tell me it's from the steering wheel and I know it shouldn't cause that problems you know what I mean so I really appreciate it thank you
I’m having battery draining issues
Is this common??
No this isn’t Normal, something is draining power some where
All the difficult bits were skipped over. Still a helpful video though.
Does the instruction say where to connect for the obd?
Its a wireless connection man. You just connect it to the obd2 and the wheel will pick the signal up
What about that blue cable? And thanks for the video
Hey bro, of you use the red wire to the 12v live you don't need to use the blue one. The blue is to make up the current if you use the horn switch because it doesn't flow enough zap zaps
Can you show how you splice the red cable?
I will find a video for you
@@Simonstockton82 how did you splice?
@@dylancarter8991 hey man I just cut away some of the insulating, pulled the wires apart and inserted the LED wheels power wire through the live one on the car, a tiny bit of solder and the recovered with tape
@@Simonstockton82 thank you very much just tried that and got it!
@@dylancarter8991 no problems brother
;)
So i attempted this but the steering wheel teeth didn't match up so i had to put everything back. Now my air bag light is on. I did turn the car on without the air bag. Not sure how i can turn it off
Hey mate, where did you get the wheel from
It was vq customs going to return it and get one from East Coast customs
*East Coast supra*
@@anthytheboss did you take any pictures man. Our wheels are thr same so it should have lined up. They can be tight sometimes. As for the airbag light, you'll just need to clear the codes on the ecu.
@@anthytheboss oh yep, just saw the vq customs bit. I don't know much about their products
Which brand steering wheel ?
These are ours mate, we have the custom made for our customers 👊
Awesome man . Does it work with u.s. cars? And do you have a link for steering wheel.
@@Ghostinthe90s sure does mate. Hit up Justin Lazarus from East Coast Supra. He supplies to same wheels in the USA. Will make shipping so much cheaper for you bro. Tell him I sent you 👊
Do you have an Instagram?
