I noticed in your last videos of this season you'd done a great job of keeping your weight off. Have you hit a mark you are happy with now or will you just keep punching new holes in you belt?
I don't have a particular number in mind. Just going to keep eating healthy and staying active and let the body be the weight it wants to be. I didn't do anything drastic, just removed processed food and alcohol from my diet. Thanks for noticing.

Tom, I prebait/chum too with a spod and what I call a scoop shovel with a long handle. Spodding puts the bait in a specific spot; my scoop shovel broadcasts it over a wider area. Both are good. By the way, I have been looking for a bucket like that. What brand is it?

Nah, I never measure, I just throw some stuff in a bucket. Carp aren't picky.
One minor disagreement Tom. Some authorities do things for no apparent reason. Max two rod limit here, at a cost of $80/yr. I asked a Warden and he said to keep people from over harvesting. Huh? If you are enforcing a rod limit, you can enforce a creel limit. Other one is that in some areas of the state, chumming/baiting is legal; in other areas (mine) no.
The irony is that the state would like to eliminate carp; but makes it hard to catch them. (Of course they sponsor bow fishing slaughters during the spawn.)
Bureaucrats will do their thing, whether it makes sense or no. That's my opinion. Change my mind.
I don't disagree. On the bright side, you seem to have it better than the people of Minnesota. One rod and very strict bait regs. MN is the land of 10 thousand lakes, but I purposely don't vacation in MN because of the fishing regs. Iowa fishing regs booklet is 24 pages, MN fishing regs book is 92 pages. Can you beat 92?
How long does it your pack bait to breakdown in the water? You seem to pack very tight.
No idea. Breakdown time doesn't matter to me, as I don't bury the hook in the pack bait.
Tom, have you found a difference between spod baiting and spreading broad area with some type of throwing tool?
Nope, the spod just enables me to get the bait out farther than can be thrown from shore.

No offense taken. Getting annoyed by annoying people and annoying things is not being cranky. Apparently being a people person means putting up with other people's crap. I'm not a fan of that. No, I'm not a people person.
Great video, make sure that the spool of your reel is tight, because if it suddenly slips that braid can cut your finger ,better to use a finger stall.
