God Told Me to Tell You to Rest in the Storm

- Many people have been scrambling to make it during this past season. Some of us have been working non-stop due to an increased demand in our line of work. Others have been working hard to find a new job or figure out how to replace a lost income. Others of us have simply felt a constant weight of anxiety and pressure. No matter where you are, I believe God has a specific word for you today. That word is this: rest. As silly as it sounds, take a step of faith and do...nothing. Choose to believe that God is telling the truth when He promises to provide everything you need-peace, hope, finances, a break. Even if you can't take time off, make the decision to rest in Him. I'm praying this word encourages you today.

Same here. I asked if I should spread the truth about whats going on currently and some of it I was directed to share. When people began worrying and having indecisiveness and anxiety I spoke about getting free of fear through relying on God and getting saved in Jesus. That Jesus says he will provide for all of our needs if we will just open up our hearts and accept him. I was unsure whether or not I needed to go out and take action with the chaos beginning in March here in the USA and now with the protests and riots.... whether to react or not. Funny thing is before these protests started I was already sick and told to quarantine at home. Fiance works in Healthcare and got sick and unknowingly gave it to me. So we're being forced literally to rest right now. Mentally can't think or worry because the mental fog is thick. Physically exhausted all the time every day the last week. So Im just waiting and watching and praying.... working on getting my fiance to truly want to be born again as I know time is drawing very short here.

What really jumped out at me was another verse where Christ was at such a place of peace with the Father and of His authority that He was able to sleep and rest in the boat despite what was unfolding around Him. When God tells us to rest we can take Him at His word. We are safe in His care. We can shelter under the shadow of His wing and abide in the love of our Saviour. Laying all of my burdens at Christ's feet and off now for a rest. The battle belongs to the Lord. As our Saviour Jesus Christ said "Father, glorify your Name!", God bless.

Thats not true my aunt is a true born again Christian and was healed of several disease over her lifetime super naturally by jesus christ thier is many reasons for disease not just intentionally sinning. Hi. I have been watching many of your videos lately and you &they are like my late night friends. I recently lost my 2nd husband, {1st-brain aneurysm at 52}, 2nd at 65 {heart attack}. 2nd left me with no will, a huge pile of debt I didn't know about and password protected everything, (secret porn addiction),so I had no idea of what to do or how to start. For 4 months I have been struggling with a myriad of big and little things to deal with and try to figure out. I am going to have to declare bankruptcy now and at 60, move back in with my parents. Thank the Lord they are still alive and can help me. In the first weeks and months (2 maybe), I was calm during the storm but recently I've started drowning. Your message spoke right to my heart. This week, until now I was feeling like I have lost the relationship that I had with him at first.... I thought like I did something so wrong, that the HOLY SPIRIT left me ....
I had this same situation a month back.. and understood it was : what we call Spiritual dryness or Spiritual drought or Spiritual wilderness or something like that... And I could overcome the storm... But this week I started feeling so bad, like the Holy Spirit left me...
I just couldn't experience the fruit of the Holy Spirit : Love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, faithfulness, etc....

How we need rest?
The Sabbath of the old testament is for Everyone all those who believe. That is the 7th day Sabbath is Sat not Sunday. Sunday was instituted in 321 A.D. Jesus never changed it, God does Not change. The apostles never changed it. It's a beautiful gift to ALL believers. Not just Jews but Gentiles also. God bless you and this message is awesome. I believe this is from God, absolutely.
Sunday was "instituted" because communal worship and services of the early Christians were practiced on the 1st day of the week as it was the Day of the Resurrection of Christ Jesus. In the early Church and Eastern Church Christian practice both days are special and marked with worship. It is only Christians who are poorly informed about the early Church that do not understand the Saturday/Sunday situation. Peace be with you sister.

Loved this message and very timely for me. During all this Virus crazyness, I react to it by taking hold of the word that says I'm a child of God, a warrior, I'm told not to be afraid, I have the armour of God and so on. In other words, I will fight through this thing. Result often, at the end of the day I find myself emotionally exhausted, weak and tearful. Wow that's weakness my mind says so tomorrow..... I will do better.
There is a time for that but as this message says, there is a time to rest in the storm, or restrictions of this epidemic. As is said here... It requires stronger faith to actually rest in God, believe he is in control of what I cannot fight and control and to stop trying to be strong and battle physically and emotionally, what is in fact a battle that requires surrender and trust. In that is strength and not weakness. Its the reverse of what our minds, and the Devil, trys to tell us.
This message was an emazing revelation to me today, and so very timely.
