Kesi, you were a brilliant mole. Been watching since Anderson Cooper days lol and can see why production chose you. Thank you for another insightful interview, Cameshia.
Enjoyed this interview with Kesi and the one with Joi - two lovely ladies. Although it's been many years since Season 5, I'd love to hear the insight from Dr. Nicole
On the sports question right at the start, no offense, but I'm from South Africa so maybe my mind is just built like this...but, sports people usually play dirty...which is fine that's life (Lance Armstrong) so what if she just told Will that she was The Mole in exchange for half the prize money? That way Will will always want to add more money to the pot and Kesi wouldn't have to make herself stick out. I think that's why the reveal was like..."um...okay", because the strategy was to not look like The Mole the whole time. It's a good strategy but yeah...
Okay the more I watch the interview the more I'm starting to wonder if the way they edited her on the show is the reason why we are all suspicious of her. Because it was a real traumatising experience because we felt truly betrayed. In the beginning she was very likeable so maybe it's a credit to the producers and editors of the show because whatever they did worked. Unfortunately the by product of that, is that people end up distrusting Kesi in real life, when she actually seems very nice and honest in this interview. When I was watching the show, Kesi crossed my mind once for 1 second, and I rushed it off because I thought: in this day and age, you can't make black women look shady, plus she seems so innocent so she would never ever be the mole". And I think the producers took advantage of the fact that most viewers would think the same way. So well done to you Kesi *and* the producers.
I don't see the mole as a bad role; I see it as the most important role, so I don't think it throws any shade. I had her as my number one mole canditate in the first minute of the show, as the way she said “I'm not the mole” was the most suspicious. But as the show progressed, she went lower and lower on my radar, as other people were loosing more money than her and the editing emphasized them. But based on how most participants didn't suspect Kesi at that point, editing didn't need to do much to fool us, Kesi was just really good and editing just had to show real people's thoughts at that point to fool us too by sending us the same wrong rabbit holes participants were going into naturally.
Watching it now Queen! You inspire me everyday ❤
Love you
