First of all, I just want to say thank you for reacting to Vpop. I really enjoy the way you guys react to all the videos. I just want to explain a little bit about the MV “Khong the cung nhau suot kiep” (Nothing lasts forever). The MV has been based on a real historical event in the past. The story was about the Vietnamese last king and his wife (who is the singer of this MV). As the beginning is where the two of them get married and live happily with their kids. However, where the scene a butler runs in and gives the king some sort of letter. That marks the time war started in Vietnam. That is why he has to leave his family and travel to another city to deal with business. In the scene where the maid run-in with a letter, the content of the letter was: “The rumor was true, she is pregnant” (“She” here at this point was presumed to be the lady in the photo). The next scene is the queen traveling to where the king lives to check on him just to find out the shocking truth (plot twist). The king cheated with two women. The first is the pregnant lady. The newest one is the lady in the photo.
In the scene where the queen sends the second mistress lady a letter, the content is: “Dear little sis (a lovely way older people in VN talk to the younger ones), as I am living far away from the king, I know that you are fully committed to take care of the king very well in Hongkong…. I and the king’s mother will always be thankful for your help forever.”
Basically, the queen did not show any jealous side at all but rather kept her class and her pain away. This MV is a really dedicated product from this singer and got some recognition from the government about how beautiful and truly this MV is about a classical history tale.

The MV about the beautiful lady in the palace is based on the true stories of the last Emperor (Bao Dai) and Empress of Vietnam (Nam Phuong Hoang Hau - meaning the Empress/Queen of the South). She came from an aristocratic rich Catholic family. She met him when they both came back to Vietnam from France during summer holiday. They wore traditional clothing in their wedding as you can see but around 1945 they wore more of Western clothing because Bao Dai agreed with the Vietnamese army to abdicate and became a commoner by then and no longer a king. He actually went into exile afterwards. He did have many lovers and mistresses along the way but Nam Phuong Hoang Hau still loved him till the end. The note she received is a tip off of his affair/pregnant mistress, who turned out to be also crying after him as he had a new mistress - a very popular dancer at the time. They went to Hong Kong after that.
The letter Nam Phuong Hoang Hau wrote to his mistress (the dancer) was to thank her for taking care of the husband. Totally a royal gesture, she chose her faith and the higher road, not getting down and dirty fighting for a man who didnt deserve her.

Hoa Minzy music is based on the truth story, her Husband named Bao Dai, he was the last emperor of VN, and he had many mistresses, she is the main wife, the pregnant one is the second wife.
The main wife was a very beautiful and well educated lady, she divorced him, and raised all her children in Paris, Bao Dai King also lived in France, remaried 3rd time, and they both passed away in France.

You guys picked some good songs even I haven't even heard of yet. Vietnamese music are mostly ballads and well received by the vietnamese public. It's unfortunate that you guys did not react to Son Tung -MTP because he propelled the vietnamese music scene to what it is now. He played a major part. If it wasn't for him, I would not have rediscovered Vietnamese music as someone who felt that Vietnamese music had grown very stagnant as a child growing up. He has "inspired" a movement of creativity in vietnamese music in the last few years. And because of him, I discovered other Vietnamese musicians. Vietnamese artists are all very talented. They play multiple instruments, compose, and produce a lot of their own music. There are different dialects in the Vietnamese language. Depending on the region where you live, the accent will be different. Saigon or the south has the most "universal" accent and easiest to understand. Vietnamese language is generally poetic whether in prose or music. Lyrics tend to be descriptive, metaphors, or in some form of poetic phrasing. I hope you can do more reactions to Vietnamese artists. I've been waiting since I first started watching you guys a couple of years back.

I just discovered Wren Evans, whose english pronunciation is on point. Almost fooled me into believing that he was a possible Vietnamese from abroad, but he is not. He is a native vietnamese with almost perfect English. I've been addicted to his song which I think Efra would appreciate. THÍCH EM HƠI NHIỀU ruclips.net/video/faSVTByG0LQ/видео.html. It is a simple song with really cute, refreshing lyrics. He's not singing about some crazy love or money or fronting. It's super chill and the rap is my favorite because it's so amusingly simple. The song is so catchy.

That video was heartbreaking. Man was horrible with getting with all those women, leaving them pregnant, etc. I don't wish harm on anyone, but karma is needed badly for people like that. Ruining others' lives because he's a narcissist guy.
He got dethroned, the last dynasty of Vietnam ended with him, and he got exiled to Hong Kong; so yea he def got his karma
