I've grown to love Daddy Cornstar, he has become much more comfortable with the camera. He has a great sense of humor and he is a super father. What a wonderful family.
The driveway is looking awesome. I cannot wait to see that yard totally green. You really have come a long way on the house and the yard Cole. I think your grandfather would be so proud of what you are doing.
Tidy persons don’t have to have OCD, it’s not always linked that way. It is ok to be a tidy person and it can be a character trait. No need to label everything a mental illness (which OCD is classified as). He sees the farms potential, he is ambitious in all fields, so it makes sense he likes things clean/done the right way and wants to have things changed on the farm. Be careful throwing medical terms around.
I have OCD. I have some of the same traits as Cole. NOT saying he has it, just saying there are many levels and different forms of the disease. It’s not some scary secret to be ashamed of and it’s ok to talk about it even if it is generalized as a blanket statement referrIng to organizing and super cleanliness. Were not all THAT sensitive lol 😂 at least I hope not...
I liked when Daddy Cornstar basically said that you just have to keep working on things (projects) until you finally get them done, and not to try to do it all at once, but it just takes time...not to rush. That's what I got out of it anyway.
OMGosh, Cole! It looks amazing! I can’t believe how hard you work and how determined you are and SOMETHING....ANYTHING....always presents an obstacle! It’s all paying off anyway and it’s encouraging to see you keep working through them!
Brent Boggs Why is it a waste? What is so much more? There are many people who decided to go for something that was “so much more” and are miserable. Doing a job you love and are good at it’s the best satisfaction in life. He doesn’t have his hand out asking for anything.
@@tnerbsg8134 Waste? Since when is being mechanically inclined a waste? Besides, he's only 17! He's just beginning his life, and he may go on to college or technical school or even if he doesn't, the skills he's learned on the farm are priceless!
You really need an edge or border or the rock will keep getting in the grass and be hit by the lawn mower. Best to do it now rather than later when you have your straight line. There is metal landscaping edging or there are “brick” type of edgers.
Your driveway looks SWEEEEEET! You both did a great job moving that rock! Sorry the skidloader broke down. But, that's okay, because then, if something breaks down on Sable, she won't be the only one to have that happen, and that's a good thing. I can't wait to see the driveway all done, and the new grass growing in. Daddy Cornstar's right - it's such a HUGE difference, there, from when you started, Cole. You should be SO proud of yourself, for all you've done! The transformation is amazing!!!
Whath will hold the stones aligned? The first car that passes will fly out of the grass. You need something to hold them. I was 9 when I drove a tractor.... I removed the back wall off the entire shed!
Daddy Cornstar ROCKS, he is great to watch. Seems that Cooper is the fixer of all guy, wtg Cooper. The yard is looking great Cole and the driveway as well. God Bless you all, you all, are a great family to watch on here. Stay safe
DC cracked me up waving to his fans! As someone who grew up on a farm, I was shocked to see you letting that corn drop on the ground - but then I realized you guys don’t have any animals to eat that corn.
I don’t think I have enjoyed a video more. This was just what I needed - a visit with the Cornstar family. Your work and life ethics are refreshing and sense of humour is outstanding!! Thank you for cheering us up during these trying times. Take care and stay safe and well. 😘💕🇦🇺
People don't realize how important farmers are to our world and way of life. Your videos give us all a new appreciation of the hard work farmers do. God bless and keep up the good work!
If left at the scrapyard big mistake... You've in fact changed it from a scrap yard to a Salvage yard because Nave is worth salvaging.. one man's scrap is anothers treasure...
It would be nice if you could find some rough sawed 12'' x 12'' White Oak for the driveway border, soak them in some preservative, diesel fuel or whatever you like, then rebar them into the ground. Also, NO right angles on the driveway. 45 degree angles or make them big curves !
If you know anyone that works on the track Department for the railroad. They're already treated, they're called switched ties. When they panel a switch, & disassemble the old one, there should be two of each, or more in lengths from 10 feet all the way to 20 feet. Maybe up to 24 to 26 in length.
I have rock along drive like that. Cars always kick some in yard and get hit by mower. Still trying for ideas that look good for a barrier like railroad posts or plastic edging... you may want to think about it
Some railroad ties would help keep that rock line real sharp looking. And it would give you a nice edge to mow against so you don’t throw gravel into the yard. Yard is taking shape and looking awesome!
I've got to give it to you, taking all that scrap metal to the scrap yard. The farm looks so much better. I love the progress you're making on the grass. Looking good Cole.
WOW single variety of grass, I'm an old timer and remember we used to use merion blue grass sod and it got hit with a fungus. Now days we use 5 different varieties and germination of 14 to 21 days
Hi you all - Wow, this episode went to 12.18 mins instead of the routine 8 or 9 mins - thank you all, it still seems to go by very fast though because it is such a pleasure watching you all, and you have so many projects going to keep everyone interested - well done, keep the longer episodes coming we can't get enough of you all!!
DC in the tractor with Sable driving--what a hoot! His expression was hilarious. Glad Cole and Nave got the driveway almost fixed, but I still wish they had put a curve in it. Have a great weekend, y'all!
As obsessive as me about having everything straight looks like you are going to have the same problem as me moving the frost free/water spout from what is now the area where we back the trailers around to the barn only hit it or the cage I welded around it a half dozen times. Also amazing the weather change. Literally tee shirts one day, digging out the hoodies and hoping the furnace will start the next. Hopefully only got to keep it and the houses going one more winter before I replace them. But then I said that last winter. THANKS COVID! Good luck and good harvest to you Cornstars!
Daddy Cornstar must be the best boss ever. I love his attitude that we all make mistakes and there is no blame to place so long as you’re doing your best. After 50 years in the work force I can tell you not a lot of employers have that attitude.
I love it when Daddy Cornstar pretends the cameras are talking to each other, he is coming into his own RUclips Star. Great videos from everyone. Thanks for sharing.
Cole you are doing such a wonderful job with upgrading your farm! It is looking lovely. It has been fun, informative, supportive and entertaining to watch. I enjoy your sense of humor and yes feel like a distant part of your awesome family, though I would NEVER just show up at your farms!! May Jesus continue to bless you and all of your viewers 🙏
Your yard and driveway are looking great. Seeds need warmth to sprout. Hopefully, next week will be warmer. My parents had gravel delivered with stone dust mixed in. It sorta held everything together.
Great and wonderful production. DC is the greatest. Love watching you guys. Dont forget to stock up the Fridge with LOTS of POP for Cooper. Harvest is here. Cheers to you all.
Some railroad ties or blue stone could keep the rock out of the grass. I've even seen old telephone poles used, it keeps trucks from leaving ruts in your yard. If you wanted to go crazy with it you could dig down below the frost line and build framing to pour concrete footings that stick eight inches out of the ground and build a fence on top of it.
I say ground hog also, I had one under my barn ramp this summer. Got a live trap, got two which were relocated way out in the country. The edge looks great!
First time I drove a tractor I was eight and I had a four in one bucket on the front, I picked up the biggest tree that I could find. Ahh good memories
I have never been able to sit through entire videos I just don’t have the patience, BUT I just watched one of your videos all the way through and I’m super proud of myself.

LOL! I think "right at home" in front of the camera might be closer. DC's cornball humor is priceless. It would be an honor to be his friend.
Linda Marsden I was thinking the exact same thing.
Best comment this time was "you know when you were 4 and you learned to drive a tractor....?" LOL.
I agree. Perhaps he could teach classes especially for young men and/or newly weds. Go Dad
The driveway is looking awesome. I cannot wait to see that yard totally green. You really have come a long way on the house and the yard Cole. I think your grandfather would be so proud of what you are doing.
I could not have said that any better. That's so true. Hope you have a great evening/night/day wherever you are right now
Progress on the driveway has been rocky...
He’s won my heart! Hard working young man. I was brought up to help around the home and us girls did it all. He’s meticulous like me.
I lost it with the cut to daddy Cornstar looking scared while riding with sable. Actually this whole episode was funnier than usual. Loved it
Daddy Cornstar is hilarious and kind.
Cole has OCD but in a good way. A guy his age liking things clean and tidy is rare. And a hard worker.

Cooper bought a nice truck for cash and hes 17 hes going places
Maybe a spin-off! We'll call it, "Keeping Cool with Cooper."

What a waste. He's capable of much more than that.

Daddy Cornstar's look of terror cracked me up!

What a great Dad. Patient and kind!
Dude, screaming at the grass seed had me rolling. Hilarious.
You need to put some railroad ties beside the rock to keep it from getting in that beautiful grass
Yeah. Straight edge on the drive. Love it
I think it will eventually need a real concrete curb - that gravel will be strewn into the Kentucky Blue Grass all too soon.
Line your driveway with genuine glacier rocks end to end. Keeps vehicles from driving over the edge, and looks good too.
Daddy Cornstar is a hoot with the two cameras talking to each other.

Coir fiber wattles in the waterway will help check up the water flow and help prevent erosion. Temp until grass is established
