How often do you use hydro-jetters? Do you like hydro-jetting or using plumbing snakes better?

I prefer to jet the line. I just bought 2 new jetters from Gorlitz. Small electric for small lines, and Big gas powered GO4000 for main lines/commercial lines up to 10 inch! Can't wait to use that big guy!

Great Job Roger 👍 My husband is a Property Manager. Hyrdojetting is something he periodically encounters when plumber couldn't open line, in fact he ordered one this week.

The dramatic music, slow motion and close up of the water coming out of the pipe was my favorite. So we’ll done.

Jetting is the best way to "clean " drains. Unfortunately where I live you don't find a lot of branch line clean outs on exterior of homes. We hired an east Texas plumber once upon a time, and he explained that in Texas it's code to have clean outs penetrating the foundation. Also much more crawlspaces than slab homes. So typically we are stuck with snake and camera routine, unless it's jetting main lines after it exists the home .

Hi Rodger thanks for the videos.
I have a question how many psi and gpm is the current set up (hydrojetter) you are using. I've seen some hydrojetters with 3000psi and like 12gpm and other like 4000psi 9 gpm. Which set up do you find more effective?

Interesting videos thanks for sharing. I've got a question for you, and I'm not a plumber, which is best at clearing/opening a I guess clog in old galvanized pipes hydro jet, snake or both?
Beside the obvious replace the cast iron pipes let me set up the scenario. Briefly bathroom sink that hasn't been used in quite a while, water lines work but the water is slow to non-draining in the sink. P-trap was cleaned out and of course there's rust and sediment. So I assume there's a rust and sediment clog somewhere that needs to be opened up. The water line do this particular toilet also hasn't been used in a while so I can only assume there might be a bit of buildup in that line too. So snake or hydro or is there some other method? Thanks so much for reading my post and responding if you do 🌻

Hey roger. This is a picture of my rv sewer hose that fell down the big cleanout outside my old work grow more fertilixlzer. I had just got my rv and had to learn how to dump tank.s. my boss said that he used the cleanout out side our shop at the factory. We make fertilizer at in carson Calif ornaia. We had lots of washout we had been dumping into the sink drains at that time of year. Everyday and my boss was super stressed out anyways. Well. I was dumping by myself. Realizing the sewer hose had no twist cam lock ends or ended any kind. I got down and was holding the hose to the valve and pulled handle. Boom. Its jumping like a python eating a bunny . Then. Like in the cartoons it starts popping pinhole shooting leaks. I'm like yuk. And let go to turn off the

You need to get a plumbers apprentice registration and then get the drain cleaner endorsement.

Roger, what is your opinion on the epoxy lining system?? And do you know how much the machine to do that service cost?.... thank you for the videos, I’ve learned so much

the epoxy is good for certain jobs.. at work we had to sleeve 75 feet of 4 inch line under a slab of all apartments and it was around 10k dollars....this was about 5 years ago and came with a 20 year warranty.....so far no problems and we jet it once a year just for maintenance...

Hose . Well the slinky line was gone when I came back. Oh shoot I said and figure stop just run hose for a while and it would wash thru . I had to work at the other plant in gardena the next 4 days and figured it would pass. Well. They clogged up the next day and seeing my boss always paranoid for dumping reactive fert down drains would get osha's opa interest. He didnt tell me or anyone just called plumber. And said fix it. Well 4 days two snakes hooked together for its 200 feet to the main. AMD a camera crew. Finally figured this baby blue slinky hose to blame from one rv. I was caught red handed. And with a 2500 bill. I was suspended and ultamemtly fired
