Terrance has such an unusual technique, but he makes it work magnificently. What a talent!
Yeah, you can tell he is probably self-taught for the most part… but, boy!! He plays so damn well.
Maybe, but his technique reminds us of Errol Garner, who also decided he didn't like nor need a teacher . He learned on his own . But, and I didn't know this, he couldn't read music! Didn't stop him from becoming famous and a great success. Passed away far too soon.@@tomlabooks3263

@@nezkeys79 It was his fingering that I was referring to, which is certainly unconventional, but by no means a criticism.
@@budgetpackah I see. Well yeah I have always been of the thought play whatever fingerings (within reason) if it works or makes you play something better. Obviously don't play something that's just nonsensical
For example in classical music the official fingerings for some scales and arpeggios seem more designed for people with larger hands and people with smaller hands play alternate fingerings
