When I play a "forestry first" game, I normally set up a base where I store my stuff (also low loaders to move forestry eqpt over the map, trucks for deliveries,...) and do forestry (plant trees) and compliment with buying forest lots , cut the most profitable trees (Spruce, Lodgepole on Silverrun Forest) and change them into production areas, storage areas or rental areas (mod) for sustainable income.I don't know if that is already a thing in FS22.
Man, Hugz I just want to tell you, I’ve been watching many of the big guys for years, Chris smoove, Syndicate, Tmartn. Your relaxed approach to content and not trying to like live out the actual game in an acting form while you’re playing is quite refreshing. Keep up the great work
You can buy a very small wood chip selling point to put on your farm, I put mine right next to the sawmill so you just punch the wood chips over and makes it faster
Tip about the stump: keep going forward and back with the tractor while moving the cutter to the sides and up/down if needed. Made easier for me, tell me if worked for you ^^
Unless youre in the North, that Farmers Market is huge to have... By the way lot 39 I think is all trees and mostly long tall Pines! Its in the NE Corner of the map.
Just curious, if you pull up a dump trailer to the wood chips do they have a fill option like lime does? If so that might be easier than using the fork lift. Keep up the good work, this series is great so far.
So, after recording this I have done a lot of busy work on the farm and I found that you absolutely can pull the trailer up next to them and fill it. That was after I spent a ton of time moving nearly 70k liters of wood chips with the forklift and realized there was no way to sell them as pallets. So glad that I know I don't need to do that anymore. If only there was a way to do that with the furniture now.
This goes for any of the things that it produces, if you set it to distributing it tries to send it to a production building that you own that uses it as an input. If there is no production building that uses it, it will remain in the buildings storage.
If you pull a trailer that can take wood chips next to the unloading area of the sawmill it will let you load them into it with no forklift necessary. Just hit R on PC or RB + Y on controller. From there you can haul them to any of the places that buy them and dump into an open tipper sell point.

Thanks for the kind words! :) I am so glad you're enjoying it.
zip up his pants when you're done bro.
grow your own timber!

Have you been experiencing the timber growth bug in FS25? I wanted to start forestry but I heard there are big issues with planted trees disappering.

Yeah I have been struggling with that one! I will give that a go.

For the wood chips in the new sawmill you can do the same thing go next to them with the tipper and load them like the trigger in the older sawmill
Thank you for letting me know!
You'll need to get a feild and plant.. That big saw mill cuts like a white boy in a trailer park
And FYI you can store machinery in the farmers market you put down as well. Win win
Ohhh, nice idea. I will have to start doing that!
For stumps, the easiest way I found was with a skid steer and the stump grind attachment. Very low to the ground and only like 40k for both.
That's a great idea, I'll give that a shot!

What does it do when you put wood planks to distributing?
This goes for any of the things that it produces, if you set it to distributing it tries to send it to a production building that you own that uses it as an input. If there is no production building that uses it, it will remain in the buildings storage.
no jam forsale 😉
lol
Where do I sell woodchips boxes?

@hugmuffinzz6559 ah, tried to sell the entire boxes. Thanks
