FANTASTIC!! I've been waiting for ever to see something like this. Usually I see some video tutorial for lighting a wedding or a corporate shoot of some kind. This is the first tutorial I've seen showing how to light a large external space for a movie that doesn't involve using some mega expensive lighting solution we mortals could never afford in a million years. THANK YOU.

Excellent tutorial video on lighting! You could also use a 4x4 bounce on the backside as well as the top to control and utilize more light in a given direction.

Isn't the final scene lit a bit too much? I mean it looks so bright there is no need for the character to use a lantern.

What is the kinitek doc kit? If I heard that right, and where can I find one?
Can you talk about the camera you used in your film?
Where can you get the string of sockets from? Being from the UK, we have large 3 pin plugs so it's almost impossible to find a cable with a socket every metre.

Do you think you could use an Aputure 600 in the box for similar results? Thanks so much 👍
Yes the Aputure 600 is a good light, I have one myself, but it will not be as bright as a 4K nova. This may limit your exposure to full open and possibly a higher ISO.

Sorry, moonlight is not soft. On a cloudless night moonlight is as hard as sunlight albeit much much lower of course.
Meh, or use a China ball on a powerful LED. Times they are a changing.
Those shots does not look cinematic. Because of the lights choice. Old school of lighting it is still the best
