Who would you have liked the Warriors to pick in 2023 at #19?
Traded in a package for a big man
Hoop reports can I get a heart
We almost had Cam Whitmore he went 20 so imagine if the warriors had the 20th pick in the rockets had the 19 pick
Trade cam Whitmore for someone like Myles Turner
Ok
If Brunson was drafted by Warriors, he wouldn’t have been Brunson… he would not get the minutes he got in Dallas or NY, and not have had the same impact.
Exactly. Same for Desmond bane going from in the 20s to #2 (id understand if he said lamelo ball for that) and idk if Clayton would’ve fit in the warriors system
@@I4wss Trade him.
If Warriors draft him instead of a bum Evans! He would still have an impact in 2019-20 season when Curry was injured! So I don't think they would package him in a trade for Wiggs!
Theyll still be the same, however, theyll be leaving or gsw would be trading a lot of them just for some to stay since all wouldnt fit in the team's cap with their skill and talent
💯 it's funny to me how people lose sight of situation and context
This sounds good in theory but drafting some of these players would have altered their record, changing their draft positions for other picks. This scenario would've been highly unlikely. The only thing that could be changed was the JP pick (if team injuries to Steph, Klay, and Draymond stayed the same). After that, it's a roll of the dice. They could've had Poole, Claxton and Bol Bol/Jalen McDaniels in the same draft. THE 2ND RD is where GS messed up. Wiseman could've still been drafted but instead of Nico, they draft Kenyon Martin Jr. By 2021, their 2nd unit could've been Wiseman/Claxton, Bol Bol, Kuminga, Poole, Jalen.
exactly!!
This seem like the good old "Don Nelson" days never getting a big always missing the mark 😂😂😂😂😂😂
he's just coping that the warriors lost in the playoffs
It's so easy to say all of this when you're in the present.
Hindsight is 20-20.
The way the Warriors were rolling and the reluctance from Kerr to play rookies,
you never even know if these players would be who they are if they were on the Warriors
in limited roles.
Exactly, I still think that a lot of the players that didnt pan out couldve been pretty solid on other teams. It kinda just depends player to player
I agree with you! I feel like these players mentioned are doing their thing where they’re at because they are NOT with the warriors. All these other teams are making an effort to put these players into work because they don’t have a Klay, Steph and Green.
I wouldn't want them to have taken Claxton over Poole. People forget how big JP was in their 2022 run. He filled in amazingly when Curry was injured in the regular season and then had an amazing playoff run including 2 massive buzzer beating 3s in the finals.
Poole did not have an amazing playoff run in 2022. He had a couple good games, but the majority of games he was REALLY bad in those playoffs. After the first round, he was a liability more often than an asset. I saw enough in those playoffs to say that the Warriors should have traded him before last year... and I was right!
This makes me want to be an nba scout
You're the best at making videos on things that has never, and will never happen.
Trayce jackson Davis the steal of the draft for our team. Once he starts getting used to playing for us he’s also gonna be able to shoot!
lol
As they say, hindsight is always 20/20 😅 It sure would have been nice and fun to have had the “what ifs.”
Their drafting has been subpar since West leaving.
#1 Myers might draft Zubac instead of Jones in 2016
#2 Myers should might draft Brunson instead of Evans in 2018
#3 Myers should accept the Bulls offered that would send Wendell Carter and the 4th pick for 2nd pick and drafted Haliburton in 2020
#4 Myers might draft Sengun instead Moody in 2021
#5 Myers might draft Williams instead of Baldwin in 2022
With this theory I realized that Bob Myers was not so genius at all. 😭😭😭😭
Tbh we wouldn’t know if any of those players would develop into any of the players they are today. They are all starting for their teams and on the warriors they wouldn’t get that opportunity
Hoop Reports: 😂
Warriors reports: 😊
Speaking of Brunson and bad management .... Mark Cuban fired Donnie Nelson Jr. -- after he got Luka and Brunson in the same draft. Nelson also begged Cuban to draft Giannis as Dallas had the pick BEFORE the Bucks. Cuban refused.
And then Cuban failed to appreciate Brunson and didn't resign him -- and Knicks got him for free. Exactly what Cuban did with Nash, who went on to win 2 MVPs in Phoenix.
I agree with 2018(Brunson), EP was a good pick too(it is kerr's fault for not seeing his value and forcing him on a 4 -5 role which led to more hip injuries rather than focusing on his strength which is a 2-3 role and fixing his form). BolBol could have been picked too over Smiley and I agree as well with 2019(Claxton), but in 2020 if there would be a redraft they are surely taking Lamelo over Bane. Moody is not a mistake. Pods is a good pick, he probably is still adjusting his offense, but his decision making is pretty much vet like and will help the bench over some other player who would rob JK and Moody again of minutes.(But if they picked Lamelo in 2020 rather than wise they are probably gonna get a close to 7ft center or pf for the 2023 19th pick since they are planning to get TJD from other teams in the 2nd rd). I still believe PBJ is a gem too and will be great in the years to come (probably not a star but a very efficient role player)
the warriors also couldve drafted bol bol back in 2019
imagine a bolbol nicholas claxton, jalen brunson
It’s literally like 2 starting lineups in 1 team, that’s crazy!
Cakes bake differently in different ovens. There's no evidence that Brunson, Claxton or anyone else would've had the same impact in the warriors system, especially at the back up point guard spot. The biggest challenge with playing the back up point guard position is to be effective in spot minutes. And that hasn't really been there. Poole was maybe the closest at it but we're not learning that he lacked the culture building attitude that Curry has. Claxton would've probably been the most effective pick up, but GSW almost needs all their big men to function as a playmaking hub, knowing how to make plays off of DOH, but Claxton thus far has only been able to demonstrate that he's a lob threat and rim protector.
The front office aren’t gonna predict how these players will turn out, they picked player they thought would be the best fit for the roster and didn’t want to take risks as they’re already contending.
aye my dude I always drop likes for you hommie keep up the work we all love the content! #Dubnation!
Favorite RUclipsr ❤️
I don’t know man I think this players can develop faster because they in the bad teams so they push into the very limit while Poole kuminga moody just became a sub for curry klay dreymond but I believe in them curry timeline is not long I want to see kuminga or Moses moody shine
Hoop Reports, I used to come to this channel for quality Basketball info ( still do ). But now I make sure I come by for the Kawhi Leonard sound bite! ehhh ha haaa hahah ha
These what ifs would be a failure cause the way warriors build young bloods.. poole was a gem and great credit to his work ethic before.. if warriors drafted these players they would not develop as much as they did now in their respective teams
Honestly, I wish gsw would've drafted Okungwu instead of Wiseman. Atlanta got a good defensive minded and rebound center.
The warriors are ready for the future with Lester Quinones did u see his summer league stats? and he is 6"5 and a good back up for wiggins and, he plays like the belly flop of the century in jordan poole, just he keeps his eyes off the baddies and he is more consistent.
Warriors have something against big tall men. They just kept on drafting and trading for guards while everybody and his dog knows that they need another big mobile defensive centre!
This video breaking my heart
things would be different when theyre playing with gsw.. as you can see kerr doesnt like using young ones..
Hindsight is easy.
Foresight is hard.
Considering what has happend to players like Fultz, Simmons, Lonzo Ball, Okafor, Zion, Oden aso u never really know what u get even with the top 3 picks. Doncic was probably the only one in the past few years where u somewhat knew what u were getting.
You did Poole dirty there. He helped us win a championship. I don't care what happened before or after, without Poole we weren't winning in 2022. You also took a jab at Moody, without him it could've gone real ugly against the Lakers. Trey Murphy III's team didn't even make the playoffs.
Jaylen Brown your next video Hoop Reports 🙏🙏🙏
Shoulda coulda woulda. You could make this argument for any team.
Thats why they call it a Lottery.
Revisionism is fine, but no one knows if these guys would have thrived with reduced minutes on a great team.
We cant dwell on the past. Lets go next season!
If this happened, can you imagine the payroll?
Lacob would have kept them all.
This is a nice "if" video for Warriors fans like me, but let's be honest guys - none of these players would have become what they are today have they been playing bench time in a "must win every season" Warriors team.
Bob Myers blew it with the Janes wiseman pick it literally caused a Domino affect if we drafted LaMelo we would have saved so much more money and time LaMelo was a ball now type of player's wiseman was a project what was they thinking??????? Why didn't lacob get a seasoned big in the second round or free agency or g league to fill in the second team with LaMelo it wouldn't matter
They had no business drafting wiseman. No one seen him play. I’m just upset. Just cause you draft Klay, steph, and Green doesn’t men you have the Midas touch.
Dude who was drafted this year sucks. I do not understand why they continue to draft dudes that aren’t ready. If that’s the case the pick could have been traded for additional help for the bench.
Yea but how would kno if they would turn out what they is now
All of this are just what ifs, it's because it is destined to happen. But who knows in the future we might see some of these guys wearing W's jersey
Poole is the best draft of that year idk why u would take anyone over him
You missed Franz Wagner instead of kuminga and Lamelo Ball instead of wiseman
Just imagine if they had took your route, how many more rings they could have by now.
And how do we pay all of those guys
With all the if’s to the credit of good players you mentioned not drafted by Warriors they might not be the player they are today if they joined warriors with stars and system with Kerr
Whts good wit it,,,
I Caint tlk rite Now cause I'm crying rite,,,,yes a grown man crying rite because OV wht we warriors could hav been,,,
Let me knw wht it do y'all,,,
Peace🏀,,,,
oh yes instead of wiseman ill take desmond bane i mean who needs LaMelo Ball yeah ima pass on that one you overrating bane like crazy melo would be nice but wiseman>bane also claxton is just mid
I cant comprehend why the warriors are so obsessed with guards.
Bro, Brunson doesn’t want to be a backup and left the Mavericks for more money in NY
You can’t even get a team like that in a fantasy league come on my guy
Did he say analysist?
Jalen Brunson would not have sat in the corner/on the bench.
Trade him for a better piece or a center.
So many what ifs.. what if the warriors never drafted curry . Klay or draymond??? I don't know but I don't think we would have won 4 championship so atleast we got part of it right we cant get all the pieces right all the time unless we go back in time lol 😅😅😅 I say we're good right now we just need to get some production from Kuminga and Moody and everyone stays to there Roles There's no telling how far we can go..
Could you imagine if we could tell the future? Jeeeeeez 😂😂😂😂
Guys get missed in the draft by a lot of teams. The problem with the Warriors is they have drafted very poorly for years. Larry Riley drafted Steph and Klay long ago in a galaxy far away .... and the Warriors have picked poorly ever since Myers took over. And no reason to be impressed with Dunleavy so far either. 😂
They got 4 rings when Myers took over
Yea this is kinda stupid. These players carriers would have been completely different if they went to GS
I had a poker hand that if I didn't fold I would have won
you need to be a gsw fan
this guy funny how he murders Giannis's last name xD
Woah, slow down buddy
Are you saying the warriors shouldn't have drafted Poole?
that's too far
Only one problem with that team... CAP SPACE
Well how the warriors will pay them then?
you can't be serious man there no way the league wouldve let that happen and those max contracts are a problem anyway 😂😂
brunson would never evolve to what he is today if he was kept in the bench!
OH MY FUCKING GOD, the basketball blasphemy that I hear sometimes on this channel is outrageous like ain’t no way you were seriously thinking that although Ja has his problems, is not the best player on the grizzlies. And btw they do have a 2nd all star, who happened to also be the DPOY. His name is Jaren Jackson Jr. So yeah, it’s safe to say Desmond Bane isn’t their “overall best player”, and he’s probably not their 2nd best as well.
But you were a big believer in Wiseman bro
Wiseman is no Shaq my brother.
Timberwolves worst organization biggest what if NBA history if drafted Stephen Curry 😅😂😅😂😅😂
Your dreaming. You really think all that talent would be ok with playing the bench? However, that would definitely be a championship team
Sika kuman pre nagbalin nga Gm da
Clax for jp3 cmon now, Poole won is a chip
Too many "what ifs"... What if Wiseman became the player you were saying he will become...
He pick desmen bane over lamelo
This is just a video diving into the mind of someone who has to much time on his hands and loves curry so much it makes me wonder if he has broken into curry's house to steal his underwear.
Bruh! Come On. You think Trey Murphy is better that Moody? If he had enough playing time and been on a weak team you would have said otherwise.
Whoa there, most skilled center of all time? Alright, I'm out.
It's like saying, "have I known the next winning lottery numbers...."
man, this video is kinda "day dreaming syndrome"
if warriors finished last last season, they could've got wemby.... shhhheeeeesh 😂
PUT KAI SOTTO IN YOUR TEAM WARRIORS
If that happens, I will get tired watching GSW winning Champs every year. Glad that didn't happen. 😂😅😂😅
This video is ridiculous. The same can be said for every team. Coulda woulda shouldas.
click bait. could've, should've, would've.
Too many teenagers in the NBA shows the lack of maturity and development that continues to see fewer fans watching compared to other sports 😮
❤❤
The most obvious pick was Lamelo Ball. Here we are signing Chris Paul because we need more distributors when we could’ve had Lamelo Ball. He is clearly better than anyone named in this video.
I usually like the videos you put out cause you give me hope but this ain’t it, the front office took the player they believed best fit the system at the time with the information they had. That’s the same as any other franchise, you could say the same about every other team in the nba. Also some of these players wouldnt become what they are today as they didn’t fit Steve Kerrs system and also wouldnt get the minutes necessary to breakout.
I share the same sentiment..
Bro is a golden state die hard rider
Exactly what I was looking for
Yea, this video is just plain stupid.
I disagree with ur hypothesis. Brunson, Trey, Bane would not have got enough minutes on court while playing with Warriors core and would not have developed into talents where they are now.
Love the idea. It's a wonder tho if these guys would be as good from the bench but I see your point. I know it was for fun too and you're right it could of been insane
i think moody and trey murphy are comparable.. just murphy has more length (which is important i get it)
also, tyrese haliburton is a better pick than bane
Moody is what 21? Give him 3 years and then compare.
@@ItIsYouAreNotYourFr Murphy got 2 more years of experience
The thing is all these players we could of drafted yes they are good but if we drafted them would they have developed the way they did with other teams?
exactly. Look at James Harden going from OKC to Houston.
Steph is the greatest offensive player of all time. Just thought I’d randomly throw that fact out here.
I agree too. The bullshit amount of chaos he creates it's just magical to watch
LoL curry is top 15 at best. Warriors and curry overrated
@@damienwest2519we view your comment as dog crap w/o a name
@@damienwest2519your opinion is straight wack
@@BiggidyB lol typical warriors fan. Delusional. Dynasty over. Enjoy being a poverty franchise again
Warriors Reports never goes behind schedule
I feel like every team that looks back at previous drafts and see who they could've gotten just makes them feel sick to there stomach. Like the Cavs for example with Anthony Bennett... They probably think suicidal thoughts looking back on that day lmao
Right and i think warriors gettin curry at 7 and green at 37 or 43 lol somewhere around there, i think they cant complaint.
Jacob Evans pick was where I really questioned the Warriors drafting ability and it ballooned from there
I miss your authentic "sheesh, guys...!"
How exactly would we afford them all
I like how this guy believes these players develop exactly the same way no matter what team they go to????
Yes they would've especially with our coaching staff
@@dabest41787 even your coaching staff came from somewhere. Start with Steve Kerr who used movement and spacing fine the offense he learned under coach pop. Hell most of the nba is running something from the spurs. The bucks run the spurs defense. Oh yeah the warriors also run the spurs defense- no middle double team the baseline and force the swing of the ball the. Rotate. Spurs are also the best at developing talent . The warriors gave up on they’re no 2 pick in the draft as well as giving moody and Poole less minutes in the playoffs they also shipped Poole away at this point. Not sure gstate has the best track record for developing talent . Everyone passed up on jimmy butler in 2011 as the spurs picked a back up point guard in Cory Joseph. It’s easy in hindsight to look at everyone passed over. What’s the point of this?
Nice content. All probabilities. As you have seen, a young player who thinks he has reach starts acting up and no longer interesting in team but himself. (Jordon Poole*). Jalen Bronson would have been good but some players shine because of adversities and doubt. He probably would not have been who he is now if there was no doubt at the beginning. Who knows. All probabilities. 🤷🏾♀️. 🔥💜🇯🇲
