Sasha is the best at the challenge but she did not fulfill the runway category. The brief was Tie Dye. She came in in a latex catsuit with dye print. She looked beautiful, yes, but not even counted as the category. ❤

the performance would've been spectacular... for any challenge except for this one. i get what they were going for and the lyrics were great but it wasn't even funny at all. they chose hip-hop over old without compromising 😔🫣

This made me finally fully understand why everyone was so excited for Sasha. The versatility! This is one of the best performances/transformations I’ve seen on DR.
same. I was a bit skeptical about her because I pictured the show rigging itself for her like it did for so many before. BUT she needs no rigging. She's freaking AMAZING. Really one of the top queens to EVER grace the drag race stage.
@Mateusz I was nervous that the producers wouldn't know how to handle her. She has one of the best track records in drag race history, and she PROVED her hype every week. They judged her (mostly) fairly, and I'm SO happy they did. Had she gotten the Gigi Goode (love her) treatment, it would have felt so rude to all the other girls.

EXACTLY, marcia and anetra should've been bottom in my opinion. It would've been a gag.

Her group completely misunderstood the assignment, they were all doing way too much and not selling the physical effects of the dance moves given the characters they were supposed to be playing. "Safe" isn't quite the right word for what went wrong with her performance.

this was sasha's episode! had the best runway and the best performance.
The runway was a latex catsuit with a dye pattern, sasha and marcia missed the category. That’s the only reason sasha didnt win because she did the BEST.
Honestly nobody did bad this challenge I could see one of 5 different queens winning

@@pusslicious I think that she lost because of her choreography, not suitable for a granny. She wanted to impress everybody with splits and tricks (which are boring at this point), she just wanted to show her flexibility and moves, but that wasn't the point of the challenge

Aura winning this challenge was like Jorgeous winning sewing challenge.
Aura at least did a great job on this and the episode being cut might have undermined her performance - Jorgous win is complete nonsense in comparison.
Aura was high worthy if not win worthy. comparing her this win to jorgeous sewing's challenge is a bit extreme.

i don't know them personally but if i had to guess, i think marcia and spice are both very personally invested in their drag character to the point where it's part of their personality, so anything outside their character ends up being "spice tries metal" rather than "metal spice", like with marcia and the bloody dress runway

Except Luxx and Marcia did not sell it as much with their faces. The metal group emoted more, but the country group had great choreography.

Luxx's verse is my favourite by far, but I think her performance of it wasn't the greatest which kept her from the top, however I agree with you on the country group win: why have a group challenge and not judge it i groups when one group was the best by far

I personally thought Spice was gonna land in the bottom, I understand why they put Jax there (the runway), but overall I'm surprised no one is talking about Marcia's runway literally not even being on theme, and also barely having "old lady" make up in the challenge. Like she did not look like an old lady at all

I agree, but looking back, it's clear that the HipHop group did the worst(they didn't really sell the "old" part of the old lady girl group, they did their usual high energy performances which is kinda expected from a group of performers *minus Loosey*, and their lyrics were arguably the worst and didn't flow well). So throw in Jax's weird look, and Robins lackluster look(though I love both of them), and yeah, it's no surprise those two were at the bottom. Spice was only safe because her look was safe, and her group lowkey carried her in the performance aspects.
Anetra verse is so underrated, her movements are so smooth despite the forgetting lyrics I loved it

The country gals worked this. Luxx’s voice works so beautifully for this, Salina cracked me up, and Marcia x3 & Mistress were super strong. Shoutout to Sasha & Loosey bc they were my favs from their groups by far. This was an odd challenge but they all did decent!

i have the exact same ranking as you. i felt crazy not seeing loosey in the top and aura up there instead... also, spice deserved to be low but safe since her voice wasn't giving granny at all. jax deserved to be safe... she was forgettable but that's not as bad as forgetting her lyrics like anetra. bottom line is, the lipsync should have been anetra vs robyn, robyn being sent home

I was a long time fan of Sasha Colby before DragRace but I trully didn´t expect her to keep surprising me at every turn. She´s just amazing

Omfg i'm so frustrated the fact that Sasha slayed her verse so hard and had one the of the best runway of the night yet was placed only high like it's giving Angeria in s14 in the design challenge
I was confused by the hip hop group, the lyrics and the way they chose to choreograph it just didn't fit together. It felt a bit like they'd missed the bit where they were told to perform like old peeps.
Jax was a standout for me... and she didn't deserve that low placement last week. The judges really hate her...

As a gay man who's been into metal since 2007 and has been belittled by many gays because of it, when I saw this my jaw dropped that two groups wanted metal this badly. Honestly never EVER expected drag race to even awknowledge metal music let alone gays really wanting to enjoy it. I'm so grateful they did this and honestly will forever change my view on this with the gay community. Thank you Rupaul. I love all types of music a lot (including pop), but in a world where many gays like only pop or female artists, this really was a gamechanger in my eyes. All music is fantastic including metal and I hope the lgbtq community will realize that someday. This is a step in the right direction. I'm still beyond blown away and I saw this episode like 3 days ago lol.

We were so focused on the metal vs country storyline that it was kinda shocking how bad hip hop kinda was

i like spice and im happy for her getting on the stage of rupaul but i dont think she will go very far unless they have something planned for her. her and her sister's gig is solid and they have a thing going for them but thats all they (she) keep(s) doing. she approaches every challenge the same way. its pretty repetitive and im surprised she keeps getting away with it (but again they let silky get away with a lot in 11 just bc she had the drama keeping the views in)

With how short drag race is now… all you have to do is watch the challenge and runway! You won’t miss anything

I really loved this challenge and I think all the girls did great. Sasha Colby definitely killed it, but I think what got Aura the win was that she was SO much better than they expecting.
For the first group, I think Marcia was the best. And my bottom two would've been Spice and Robin. I was surprised Jax was in the bottom because she was the most memorable in that group for me.
sasha had the only verse that got stuck in my mind. she's a legend.

Aura and Sasha both amazing.
I rewatched their performance for the metal team, I think they chose Aura because if you can see clips of Aura on the background she is giving that energy 100% all the way.
