- Matthew breaks out the Jenga tower and takes the reins as Troy, Joe, Skid and Rules Lawyer David Winters play some Dread.
This show was sponsored by Syrinscape. Check them out at www.syrinscape....
All of the shows from Gen Con weekend were the result of our crazy idea to build a BROADCAST STUDIO right in the Gen Con Exhibition Hall, which became a reality thanks to the Naish and our sponsors, including Chaosium, Demiplane, Evil Hat Productions, Norse Foundry, One Seven Design Studio, Paizo, and Syrinscape.

So good to see David's face!!
David for the win!
That looks so damn fun, now I really want to try Dread out myself
Same!
I love this!! The Boys all looked like they were having a great time! Please play this again for us all to watch.
1:17:28 Skid: I wonder if there's really any way to win this game?
There is! A group of mine played through a pseudo dnd game where we went into, were trapped within, and then escaped from a dungeon filled with rats and ghouls. The only character that died was mine, who valiantly saved a party member and INTENTIONALLY toppled the tower to reset it, but our party's cleric made like 5 consecutive pulls to revivify me and then carried me back out of the dungeon on the back of our warrior. We all escaped and survived to the sunrise...but who can say how we faired the following night, seen how we escaped a vampire lord...
Great fun and very tense at times.....
The jazz give this a very "Jeepers Creepers" feel.
The first pass at Reese's voice sounded like Pauly Shore trying not to puke 😂
I love how Troy thinks shrooms are "the hard stuff"
The game mechanics with the Jenga tower might not make the most sense, but boy does this seem fun lol
It's designed to be a fast and loose type of game. Not to be taken too seriously
It is an absolute blast to play. It's both light and intense.
@@Surberus1066 big agree from me. It's light enough that it's fun but it can have some intense moments
Much more fun than I anticipated!
This looks like so much fun!
But what was on the jenga set Troy’s wife got him?
So the wolf of the water is real! Skander Kardzi didn't lie!
way to bring it back!
Guys, I'm loving all this content but please lower the volume on the intro and outro music. The con audio is clear but low and then the outro music is so damn loud.
Thank you for the input! We will note this for next year
DAVIIIIDDDDDDDD
As cool as it was they played this. It been really impressive if they played in the darkness of a hotel room with flashlights. Or they could have just threw a big tarp on the booth and left a sign saying playing dread. Left a video display for people to watch at the con while they record. Dread by design expects a certain mood and atmosphere to make it work.
Sounds like a poorly-written low-budget B-movie horror, just the way I like it
Ok Troy, that Len Bias line was a bit much
it is really unfortunate how much david looks like jared fogle lmao
I really don't think Troy can take anything serious
This just seems like Jenga with extra steps
It’s not so much playing Jenga so much as substituting the dice with Jenga to create tension and suspense during the emergent horror. Replacing rolling of the dice with pulling a block with death or otherwise removal of the character from the story as the consequence for failure. It’s horror, so life being cheap fits using the tower. You can also sacrifice yourself for a successful action by knocking it over yourself. Going out gloriously to drive the story forward. I don’t remember if the book explains if players make new characters or if it’s just one character per session. You rebuild the tower a lot I imagine. So the rebuilding certainly could be tedious. But telling the result of the player’s failure and the resulting story that emerged while that player is rebuilding the tower for the group. You could keep the suspense going I imagine.
Exactly what Dawn said above! Great explanation
Pathfinder is just craps with extra steps
@@TheGlassCannon I felt like a shonen boy who got praised by the hero like just crossed his arms behind his head and gave a big grin. Really made my day. Keep it up guys.
ooh la la. someone must be fun at parties 😛
Glass canon is great but they take so long to banter before every game.
They're streaming live. Generally live streams start with a lil cushion of time padding to give everybody watching a chance to come in a few minutes late without missing anything. If you're not watching live and don't enjoy the banter, you can always skip ahead a few minutes.
