I love my FDF Sleeping pad so much. You only realize the true genius of the flaps once you use it to sleep on mud. The top side, including your blanket, STAY CLEAN when you roll it up! Pure genius.
I have HAWU 4 from you and I am satisfied with it. You do quality stuff. And I look forward to trying one of your backpacks in the future. I wish you much success from the Czech Republic
We deliver to all the states of the European Union. We also have a whole lot of retailers who ship worldwide such as Varusteleka, Scandinavian Outdoor and Varuste.net.
Separate straps are the far superior option. If you use the straps of the lid then they will loosen up every time you open the pack, and the sleeping pad will fall out.
Well, we and the whole Finnish Defence Forces sleep on these all year round so... it somehow just works. We indeed do not ship outside the EU at the moment, but we have tons of retailers who do. Check out: www.varusteleka.com/en/collection/savotta/85?sort=new
That is good to know. I guess in america the r-value matters. If your cold weather climate works for it, than for sure it should work for me. Thank you for the link also. @@Savotta
@@HebrewNomadOverlander R-values are f course a very real and measurable thing, but the "rules" that many outdoor sites, manufacturers etc. come up with, like "for so and so cold weather your R-value must be at least this and that" are just that, man made rules. From our experience these just work. We had -30 degrees celcius (-22 F) here a few weeks back and survived the night just perfectly with these, sleeping on a thick layer of compacted snow and a thin foil groundsheet for some added insulation.
It has two sewn-on elastic webbing loops to keep it rolled up, and these can also be used to attach it to a backpack. We do however recommend you use proper packing straps to attach the rolled pad to a pack, the elastic webbing can be a bit bouncy.
I have one. Very thin ang cold sleep even in summer time. I put additiona 1,5cm layer foam in. And this mat must be 10cm wider, and with folium surface inside to reflect heat back to human body. Badly made product!

Yes! 🥰
Why I've not seen the ground sheet integrated into other sleeping mats, I'll never know.
Once you've tried it, there is no going back.

Love mine. I use it mainly to protect my inflatable mattress. Dig a hip hole and everything is gtg. Savotta makes GREAT gear.
These Finland Tourism Board vids are getting pretty decent
Yep, this is what we've got for you to enjoy.
I recently bought one for myself. Never have thought to enjoy it more than a Therm-a-Rest Lite.
How does it compare to a regular air matress?
Now we finally have the answer to which side goes down!
does it come with the straps or do I have to buy them apart?

Best Sleeping mat I ever owned
Do you ship to the US or have a way of doing so, I'd be more than willing to pay the extra shipping fees if need be

I've bought from Varusteleka for years. Zero complaints. Excellent shipping via DHL (and now UPS) to the US. Less than a week via DHL.
do you use the straps on the bottom of the backpack or use separate ones through the webbing loops to secure the sleeping pad on?
Separate straps are the far superior option. If you use the straps of the lid then they will loosen up every time you open the pack, and the sleeping pad will fall out.
Which sleeping Bag is used here in the Vid? I love the Pad!
You can find this Sleeping Pad in our webshop.
I already have it i mean the sleeping Bag you used with your Pad

@@Savotta thank You very much !
Is there anyway this can be shipped to the US?
We have some great retailers who ship worldwide, check out: www.varusteleka.com/en/collection/savotta/85?sort=new
Hell yeah
If I could become homeless and just have this, I'd 100% do it.
What's stopping you?
Do it lol
Do what I want to do. Build a camp/survival/bugout/outdoor adventure kit that could double as an "in case of homelessness" kit.
it's R value 2, so for three seasons! I hope you live in a warm place :D

Ei yhtään... vielä ainakaan.
Love the pad, but the r-value is too low for winter months. Am I able to order on the site for delivery to the usa?
